I've found a solution to my problem. I changed the config file
/etc/PackageKit/PackageKit.conf and set the parameter
UseNetworkManager=true to UseNetworkManager=false

I have a similar problem. When printing, the job seems to print
successfully, but the job is left pending in the print queue with status

Have exactly the same problem on my computer using a Nvidia Geforce4 MX
420 card. I'm using hardy and the nvidia driver: nvidia-glx
1:96.43.05+2.6.24.13-19.44. On logout I get a black screen. In this
state, I can use alt+F2 and log on using the terminal and then startx to
start the GUI.
