[Bug 1667536] Re: kernel uas module cannot allocate memory with more than two USB disks

2017-02-24 Thread Jason Duerstock
So I tried this kernel and it dumped me to the (initramfs) prompt, and
complained about some sort of PKCS#7 error? Is this because the kernel
isn't signed? How do I proceed?

Thanks

Jason

[Bug 1610321] Re: ffmpeg with x265 crashes on OpenVZ and Ubuntu on Windows

[Bug 1610321] [NEW] ffmpeg with x265 crashes on OpenVZ and Ubuntu on Windows

2016-08-05 Thread Jason Duerstock
Public bug reported:

I'm having trouble collecting more debug info for various reasons, but
I'm getting the following final bits with strace:

file or directory)
--- SIGSEGV {si_signo=SIGSEGV, si_code=SEGV_MAPERR, si_addr=0x402268da8} ---

[Bug 1073393] [NEW] sessions in xrdp have a buggy mapping for the d key

2012-10-30 Thread Jason Duerstock
Public bug reported:

When pressing the d key in an xrdp session, the show_desktop action
is triggered. It is unclear whether this is a faulty mapping in xrdp,
or a problem with metacity. There are a number of workarounds given in
the thread below, but no actual solution or patch to prevent the
behavior in the first place.

Re: [Bug 1071292] Re: compiz crashes on xrdp login

2012-10-25 Thread Jason Duerstock
There is no .crash file generated -- all I'm getting is a core dump.
Is there a way to use apport against a core file?

Thanks

Jason

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
 apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open
the crash report you wish to submit.
If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with
 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash
is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't
allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug
 /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
