[Bug 669153] [NEW] package prewikka 0.9.17.1-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: prewikka I was trying to install a Security Intrusion Manager with user interface and mysql server database, and obviously ...I utterly failed at this attempt. But I don't really know exactly what to do about it now. I'm pretty sure I missed an important step or two ( oops) =~/ I upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic less than a month ago from synaptic, then to Lucid just recently (less than a week), but that probably has nothing to do with it. Any advice would be appreciated , thanks. [Bug 315732] [NEW] lighting doesn't play well with events in remote calendars from other clients
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lightning-extension I recently switched from Windows to Linux for my desktop operating system. On Windows I was using Sunbird with a davical back-end. I installed the Lightning plug-in in Thunderbird on my new Linux system and tried to connect to the davical. Immediately it displayed 60+ alerts (playing an alarm for each), and when I tried to do dismiss all it said that the data had changed on the server, to which I said submit anyway. After this point, when starting Thunderbird the alarm window pops up (empty) and the notification sound always plays 33 times. Nothing shows up in the error console. I'm running a remote calendar under davical 0.9.6.1 on Debian (Linux 2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-686). I'm using the latest Thunderbird and Lightning packages on Ubuntu 8.10 (Linux 2.6.27-9-generic). This problem didn't occur when I was running Sunbird on Windows. It would appear that Lightning (and Sunbird) don't play well with calendar data created by other calendar software. I messed around with it a bit, in one case exporting the data to an ICS file, then importing it again (which involved waiting through endless beeps) into a separate CalDAV user space, only to find the problem persisted. I even tried wiping out the davical database and doing an import ... still the same behavior. I was able to resolve the issue by exporting everything from the CalDAV server to an ICS file, importing it into a local Lightning calendar, acknowledging all of the alerts, exporting it again to another ICS file, deleting everything from the CalDAV server and importing the second ICS file. This has also been reported to Mozilla in bug report 472961. TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up a davical server and set up a user to host a calendar. 2. Configure the calendar in Lightning 3. Import ics data from (attached) 4. Attempt to dismiss alerts. 5. Quit thunderbird 6. Start thunderbird again. WHAT HAPPENS On step 3 a number of alerts will pop for past events which should already be acknowledged. On step 6 the alarm window will pop up and there should be multiple beeps. The alarm window should be empty. WHAT I'D EXPECT Import without beeping repeatedly, then not pop an empty alarm window every time Thunderbird is opened. I'm running a remote calendar under davical 0.9.6.1 on Debian (Linux 2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-686). I'm using the latest Thunderbird (2.0.0.19+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1) and Lightning (lightning-extension/0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu1) packages on Ubuntu 8.10 (Linux 2.6.27-9-generic). ** Affects: lightning-sunbird (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- lighting doesn't play well with events in remote calendars from other clients https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315732 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 211586] Re: fglrx halts on Radeon HD 3850
I have the same issue with the AGP version of this card (black screen and system hang). radeonhd does work just fine (of course no 2d or 3d acceleration) , in fact that's about the only driver that even 1/2 way works! But I am actually able to load X if I blacklist the blacklist amd64_agp and agpgart modules. Granted then my DRI won't load and performance in 2D is worse than radeonhd. I think I'm getting there but still needs some help. -- fglrx halts on Radeon HD 3850 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211586 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 98764] Re: Installation of Feisty beta cannot detect disk drive on Gigabyte 965G-DS3
I am using a ga-965g-ds3 motherboard. I was unable to boot with the feisty beta CD. The daily liveCD from April 12th didn't work either. Looking at the messages there was something about fd0. I don't have a floppy drive installed in my box. Disabling the floppy in the BIOS enabled the daily to boot. I would never have thought to disable it in BIOS, as it has caused no problems with any other OS or Distro I have installed and run from CD ont his box. Might help someone with the same board. Is this the sort of thing that could use its own separate bug report? And sorry if this gets posted twice, I can't remember if I posted it before closing the window a few minutes ago and I don't see it here, so I got to retype it :) -- Installation of Feisty beta cannot detect disk drive on Gigabyte 965G-DS3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/98764 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
