[Bug 1950860] [NEW] redshift littering log with dbus messages
Public bug reported: redshift (or dbus on its behalf) is littering kern.log with messages like this: kernel: [281626.445137] audit: type=1107 audit(1636814004.065:1348664): pid=1891 uid=105 auid=4294967295 ses=4294967295 subj=unconfined msg='apparmor="ALLOWED" operation="dbus_method_call" bus="system" path="/org/freedesktop/GeoClue2/Manager" interface="org.freedesktop.GeoClue2.Manager" member="GetClient" mask="send" name=":1.72" pid=1001091 label="/usr/bin/redshift" peer_pid=3195 peer_label="unconfined" Reshift changes process id every four seconds or so. [Bug 1949156] [NEW] firefox often slows to a crawl on page request
Public bug reported: When opening a URL in a new tab/window, firefox frequently slows to a crawl. This lasts for several seconds, then recovers. It does not seem to be related to time since launch. The behaviour is new. When this happens, other machine processes appear unaffected. I can continue working with other applications, just not firefox. Top (/usr/bin/top) shows that GeckoMain is using the majority of CPU at times like this (approx 20%-30% load on an 8 core system), but this is not the only time I see this. I've attached an image of the window title. There appears to be an animation that starts at the left and sweeps across the tab towards the right that also feezes / slows to a crawl at these times. [Bug 1940779] [NEW] has_options missing so ssh-agent doesn't start
Public bug reported: The file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/20x11-common_process-args is missing the definition of the function has_option() in the 21.04 distribution. As a result, when lightdm starts X11, even though use-ssh-agent is specified in Xsession.options, the test fails and so the agent is not started. This is in the context of using the i3 window manager, which shouldn't matter except that maybe gnome does stuff on its own that makes the problem not apparent there. [Bug 1933206] [NEW] mplayer video playback complains fast machine is slow
Public bug reported: I've recently started seeing this message on an unloaded 8-core i9 workstation that used to be able to play video just fine. So I suspect some bit of software has changed. This occurs on playing video files store on local SSD. Your system is too SLOW to play this! Possible reasons, problems, workarounds: - Most common: broken/buggy _audio_ driver - Try -ao sdl or use the OSS emulation of ALSA. - Experiment with different values for -autosync, 30 is a good start. - Slow video output - Try a different -vo driver (-vo help for a list) or try -framedrop! - Slow CPU - Don't try to play a big DVD/DivX on a slow CPU! Try some of the lavdopts, e.g. -vfm ffmpeg -lavdopts lowres=1:fast:skiploopfilter=all. - Broken file - Try various combinations of -nobps -ni -forceidx -mc 0. - Slow media (NFS/SMB mounts, DVD, VCD etc) - Try -cache 8192. - Are you using -cache to play a non-interleaved AVI file? - Try -nocache. Read DOCS/HTML/en/video.html for tuning/speedup tips. If none of this helps you, read DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html. [Bug 1930577] [NEW] CPU usage spikes with pending messages
Public bug reported: When the screen lock (i3lock) is active and dunst queues a large number of messages, the CPU runs very hot. It is not unusual to hear the fan running on an otherwise quiescent machine and, on unlocking, to see the screen covered with dunst alerts (kind, though sometimes too many to read before they timeout) and the CPU load well above one, with top showing dunst chewing most of the CPU. When the alerts dismiss, dunst drops its CPU usage to near zero and system load falls back to some reasonable quiescent level. [Bug 1911014] Re: include-config-dir from sshd not recognized
Running sshd with the -ddd flags to get a bit more information, I can see that the server is including the requested file. Indeed, server behaviour is almost identical between the two scenarios (included or inline) until it executes the Match statement that is the contents of my included file or else is inlined into sshd_config. Here is where it diverges: On both sides, I see this in the lead-up to the divergence: debug3: Trying to reverse map address 1.2.3.4. debug2: parse_server_config_depth: config reprocess config len 1208 debug2: parse_server_config_depth: config /etc/ssh/sshd_config.d/sftp_users.conf len 182 debug3: checking match for 'Group sftp_users' user user1 host ... debug1: user user1 matched group list sftp_users at line 1 debug3: match found (the line number and length are different in the two cases) At this point they diverge. In the version that has inlined the file contents, I see debug3: reprocess config:54 setting ... debug3: reprocess config:55 setting ... debug3: reprocess config:56 setting ... debug3: reprocess config:57 setting ... debug3: reprocess config:58 setting PasswordAuthentication yes debug3: reprocess config:59 setting ... Those config statements correspond to the contents of my Match block. They are only processed in the inline version. Then both versions say debug3: auth2_setup_methods_lists: checking methods and then again, they differ: (include) debug1: authentication methods list 0: publickey (inline) debug1: authentication methods list 0: password And this is the point: the Match (which was found) is supposed to say that for this class of user connecting, we should accept passwords rather than public keys and only permit sftp. So the result is that both versions recognise the Match condition, but only the inlined version actually executes the Match block. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1911014 Title: include-config-dir from sshd not recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rkhunter/+bug/1911014/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1882130] [NEW] Unison in 20.04 won't talk to older unison
Public bug reported: I'm running unison 2.48.4 on two hosts. One I just upgraded to 20.04. The other is still at 18.04 LTS. The two unison instances no longer talk happily together. The error is this: Fatal error: Server: Fatal error during unmarshaling (input_value: ill-formed message), possibly because client and server have been compiled with differentversions of the OCaml compiler. which is repeated many times. It seems quite surprising that the issue is really only resolvable as "upgrade all unison instances that might ever talk to each other together or not at all", so I suspect the error message about OCaml build is a red herring. I'm not, however, sure how to debug this, however. [Bug 1810902] Re: firefox picks unpredictable window for opening new content when using i3 as a window manager
With a bit of experimentation, I have the following hypothesis, which is consistent with observed behaviour: Firefox strongly prefers to choose windows that are visible, or would be visible if their workspace were chosen. In the absence of a potentially visible window, the choice of window is made according to some data structure that I don't see (i.e., I don't know how to explain that part). In the context of a tiling window manager in which windows are tabbed (i.e., multiple windows occupy the same screen position), this means that I might have, say, two firefox windows, one on workspace 1 but in a tab that isn't currently displaying, the other in workspace 3 but displaying if I switch to workspace 3. I'm reading mail (not in a browser) in workspace 1. I click a link, expecting it to open in the firefox window in workspace 1, because that is the firefox window with which I've recently been interacting. But it opens in the (potentially visible, if I were there) window in workspace 3. If I open a window in workspace 1 that is visible, then that window will always be chosen for URL open events, regardless of other interactions I have with firefox. This didn't used to be the behaviour: it used to be the last window with which I interacted. (The source tree is so complex and involves so many projects, I'm not sure where to start looking for a commit that would have affected window choosing.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1810902 Title: firefox picks unpredictable window for opening new content when using i3 as a window manager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1810902/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1810902] Re: firefox picks unpredictable window for opening new content
I've now reproduced on a freshly rebooted ubuntu instance. I have a firefox profile called "test" that I used. That profile doesn't have historical windows to open on start, doesn't have any extensions that I've added. Launch firefox: firefox -P test Use C-N to open two new windows. Return to the terminal. Type "firefox https://www.lemonde.fr/; (for example). In my case, the window that received the new tab was not the last one viewed. Now choose a different firefox window, not the one that just opened a new tab. Open a new tab, maybe close it, then return to the terminal, repeat. I would expect the new lemonde.fr tab to open where I had just interacted, but this isn't the case. Possibly relevant: - I've configured firefox to open new tabs and note new windows when sent a signal to open a new page. - I'm using the i3 window manager (so some windows maybe be unmapped due to tiling) with a focus-follows-mouse policy. I've also reproduced this starting firefox in safe mode: firefox -P test --safe-mode -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1810902 Title: firefox picks unpredictable window for opening new content To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1810902/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1810902] [NEW] firefox picks unpredictable window for opening new content
Public bug reported: When a firefox instance is running with multiple windows, typing "firefox somepage" should open somepage in an existing window. Previously, that window was the last window accessed. Now, it is difficult to predict in which window the new tab will open. Indeed, it may open in a window in a different workspace even though the a window in the current workspace has been used more recently. [Bug 1751550] [NEW] netcat hangs on sending udp packet
Public bug reported: On a Linux (Ubuntu 16.04) box with no listener on port 8095, I type this echo 1 | nc -u -w 1 127.0.0.1 8095 and the command does not return. On my workstation (Ubuntu 17.10), where also nothing listens on 8095, NC returns immediately, which is what I'd expect. Adding the -v flag causes nc to return immediately (with status 1 rather than 0). I would expect sending a UDP packet always to succeed quickly if a network interface exists. Note that this behaviour does not exist in netcat 1.178 (on ubuntu 17.10), so this is only a bug against the version still running in 16.04.4 LTS. [Bug 1736355] Re: opening a new window re-opens all the tabs in the front window
I can add some extra info. I think it's safe to say that my instance had become corrupt somehow. (It's still a bug that it could become so corrupt, but I don't know how to duplicate that). On closing tabs, I discovered that I had roughly 200 tabs open. Clearly firefox now hides tabs well so that it's not so obvious between 20 and 200. Then, and perhaps related to this bug, those tabs were all duplicated. So my firefox instance actually had on the order of 400 tabs. Closing all of the tabs and then opening a new window (or even relaunching firefox) caused 200 or so tabs all to re-open. Eventually, I did the following: clear cache (a bit cargo cult of me) and set firefox to open a blank page on restart. Two restarts later and I was able to revert to "open windows from last session". Again, it seems to me a bug that this could arise at all, but in the absence of a good hunch on what code is being tickled or quite a lot of people being affected, this should probably be closed as not worth pursuing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1736355 Title: opening a new window re-opens all the tabs in the front window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1736355/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1718731] [NEW] nm-applet doesn't indicate by default when networks are unencrypted

[Bug 1700248] [NEW] instability after lid-close state
Public bug reported: After the system goes into the state (sleep? hibernate?) that happens when I close the lid on my laptop (the machine from which I'm reporting this bug), it often but not always fails to wake up. The power button backlight illuminates but the screen stays blank and the machine doesn't respond to anything I've been able to think (change of vt, touching power button, close and reopen). Only restart via long hold on power button exits from this state. On occasion, it wakes but the mouse is frozen in the middle of the screen. On occasion, it wakes correctly. This does not seem to be related to how long the session has been active: I can often trigger this by boot -> login -> lock screen -> close lid -> open lid. This behaviour is new since the most recent kernel upgrade. [Bug 1631933] [NEW] upgrade to a more current mongoc library
Public bug reported: The version of libmongoc included in ubuntu 16.04 is quite old, and in particular is inadequate even to build the mongo C++ driver. It would be great if ubuntu could upgrade to 1.3latest, which is but a patch release from the current. [Bug 1627637] [NEW] bad alloc on large (but not too large) image
Public bug reported: For this example, I've created an entirely white png (attached to the bug report) with size 2400 x 36000. I saved it at compression level 9 (or whatever gimp means by that) and in 8-bit RGB. I would expect eog to be able to display this because 2400 * 36000 * 4 colours is 330 MB, which is vastly less than the available RAM on my machine. While X represents window dimensions with 16 bit values, which may perhaps be signed (I didn't check my host's type definitions), I don't expect eog to allocate a pixel-to-pixel window for the image. My screen's size is ample. This arose because of a real image of the same dimensions, but which I can't attach here. The behaviour is the same. jeff@starshine:data_2016-09-01 $ eog /tmp/2400x36000.png ** (eog:26198): WARNING **: Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-3UXmMLd2Wv: Connection refused (eog:26198): Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'eog' received an X Window System error. [Bug 1611765] [NEW] apt description refers to apparently non-existent package
Public bug reported: The description in `apt-cache show` ends with this paragraph: Note that MariaDB also comes with an included version of the client library. The main reason to use this package, rather than libmariadbclient-dev, is differences in licensing: this package uses the LGPL, while libmariadbclient-dev uses the GPL. [Bug 1585926] [NEW] mp3 files decode as crackly noise
Public bug reported: MP3 files have started decoding as crackly noise instead of the intended sound (typically, music). Occasionally but not reliably, the crackly noise becomes music, as though it were a mere synchronisation error and mpg123 finds a sync signal. (I have no reason to believe that that is happening at a technical level, I offer it as an analogy for the occasional behaviour I've noticed.) While it's possible that this is only files on my disk that are corrupted, this would suggest that my backups have been similarly corrupted, so that hypothesis seems less likely. [Bug 1533233] [NEW] machine crashes on suspend
Public bug reported: On a Dell Precision M3800, suspend has begun leading to crash. Suspend happens by running /usr/sbin/pm-suspend On resume (either by opening the lid if it was shut else by touching the power button), the fan comes on and the power button lights, but the screen does not activate. [Bug 1511978] [NEW] clang-format-region assumes transient-mark-mode
Public bug reported: >From clang-format-3.5 to clang-format-3.6, the definition of clang- format-region changed in clang-format.el. The old definition was this: (defun clang-format-region () "Use clang-format to format the currently active region." (interactive) (let ((beg (if mark-active (region-beginning) (min (line-beginning-position) (1- (point-max) (end (if mark-active (region-end) (line-end-position (clang-format beg end))) The new definition begins thus: (defun clang-format-region (char-start char-end style) "Use clang-format to format the code between START and END according to STYLE. If called interactively uses the region or the current statement if there is no active region. If no style is given uses `clang-format-style'." (interactive (if (use-region-p) (list (region-beginning) (region-end)) (list (point) (point ... (It continues quite a bit longer.) The call to use-region-p always returns false if transient-mark-mode is turned off, e.g. via (transient-mark-mode nil). This causes clang- format-region always to format the current line and never the selected region. This is a fix, barring some further subtlety I've missed: (interactive (if mark-active (list (region-beginning) (region-end)) (list (point) (point ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: clang-format-3.7 1:3.7-2ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.2.0-16.19-generic 4.2.3 Uname: Linux 4.2.0-16-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.19.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: i3 Date: Sat Oct 31 17:34:38 2015 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-10-23 (8 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422) SourcePackage: llvm-toolchain-3.7 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to wily on 2015-10-23 (8 days ago) ** Affects: llvm-toolchain-3.7 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug wily -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1511978 Title: clang-format-region assumes transient-mark-mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/llvm-toolchain-3.7/+bug/1511978/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1510042] [NEW] linking against -ljsoncpp fails with clang
Public bug reported: On updating ubuntu from 15.04 to 15.10, I see changes in how clang resolves references to some libraries. (I think this is not an ubuntu question but rather a clang question and that I've missed some subtlety on how clang has recently changed. I suspect initially that this is related to the gcc-5 ABI changes, but I'm not sure how to proceed.) Here's a tiny test example designed only to tickle the phenomenon: #include #include int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { std::cout << argc << " - " << argv[0] << std::endl; Json::Reader reader; Json::Value root; reader.parse("", root, false); std::cout << reader.getFormattedErrorMessages() << std::endl; return 0; } If I compile like this clang++ -ggdb3 -Wall -Wextra -std=c++14 -o json_test json_test.cc -ljsoncpp /tmp/json_test-680d3a.o: In function `main': /tmp/json_test.cc:10: undefined reference to `Json::Reader::getFormattedErrorMessages() const' clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) And yet the definition appears to be present: jeff@birdsong:src $ objdump -TC /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libjsoncpp.so | grep getFormatted e190 gDF .text 04d2 Base Json::OurReader::getFormattedErrorMessages[abi:cxx11]() const dc70 gDF .text 04d2 Base Json::Reader::getFormattedErrorMessages[abi:cxx11]() const jeff@birdsong:src $ The abi:cxx11 suggests I might at least try this clang++ -ggdb3 -Wall -Wextra -std=c++11 -o json_test json_test.cc -ljsoncpp but same error. [Bug 1510044] [NEW] default firefox instance not settable by user
Public bug reported: When running more than two firefox profiles at once, the "wrong" instance sometimes handles events. More specifically, programs that request a new browser tab or window are handled by firefox's idea of the correct instance. But this may not be the instance I want. Typically, a work-around is to copy the URL, close the tab/window, and open a new tab or window in the firefox instance where I want it. (It would be nice to be able to tell firefox which instance I want to use.) In the even of using ubuntu-bug, even that does not work due to something related to OpenID. The page in the new browser displays "Invalid OpenID transaction". Since the default browser instance doesn't have my launchpad credentials, the only way to file a bug is to quit all firefox instances using profiles other than the profile that has my launchpad credentials. [Bug 1464568] [NEW] the master password dialog doesn't identify itself
Public bug reported: When firefox prompts for the master password, a dialog appears asking for a password with text Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device. But nowhere does it identify itself as firefox nor does it explain which profile is asking for a password. This is particularly important because firefox doesn't necessarily ask for the master password at obvious times -- sometimes several minutes after launch (with previous session's tabs opening in the background) firefox will decide it's time, and meanwhile the firefox window is hidden and I'm no longer thinking about firefox. In the event of multiple profiles, I have to guess which profile's master password is being requested. I propose simply that the dialog title change to something like firefox: please enter your master password (if only one profile exists) or firefox: please enter your master password for profile p (if multiple profiles exist) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1464568 Title: the master password dialog doesn't identify itself To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1464568/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1460948] [NEW] install app dialog is unclear
Public bug reported: Some websites trigger a dialog asking if I'd like to install the (presumably HTML5) application to make it faster in the future. The responses permitted are yes and don't remind me again. I don't think the choice is binary. I'd expect yes and no as choices with a checkbox do this every time in the future for this site with a note about how to fix bad choices. Many sites change enough that this feature gets triggered relatively often, which surely leads users to take the action that causes the dialog box not to appear. Indeed, related, I'm not sure we explain very well to users why they should or shouldn't care about this dialog box. On what basis should a non-expert user reply in a given way? [Bug 1452771] [NEW] fill-paragraph causes screen jump as if it is calling
Public bug reported: fill-paragraph (from fill.el) causes point to recenter alternately to center, top, and bottom of screen, as if recenter-top-bottom (from window.el) is being called. I expect fill-paragraph to be idempotent: if it does nothing, it should leave the window alone (possibly marking it as dirty). In particular, it is hard to see exactly what it has done if the text moves substantially. This is new behavior since the upgrade from 14.10. [Bug 1373080] [NEW] sending mail in gmail leaves the sent message text selectede
Public bug reported: This is a bit of a touchy bug to report, but since it happens in firefox and not chrome, and since gmail has such weight, it may be easier to consider it a bug in firefox than a bug in gmail. That said, I also don't know a way to report a bug in gmail. And I don't know how to determine which application (gmail or firefox) is at fault. After sending a message with Ctrl-E, the message is displayed (normal) and the text in the message is selected. If I return to the message index, the current line's text is selected (rather than just a small line to the left indicating selection). [Bug 1370861] [NEW] feature request: commandline transient override
Public bug reported: Redshift's automatic mode is great, but when I wake up on an Autumn or Winter morning, it would be nice to be able to override redshift and ask for the colorbalance for dawn or day. Of course, I could just kill redshift and restart it later, but I'd like it to come back to night mode when the sun sets later in the day. Perhaps this is already possible, in which case this bug is about the documentation (texinfo/man pages) instead. [Bug 1370862] [NEW] feature request: fall back on timezone when geolocation unavailable
Public bug reported: When I restart my laptop on a train without wifi, redshift restarts, and geolocation fails due to no network connection. But I probably set the system time correctly, which provides at least an approximation of the right thing to do. [Bug 1245040] [NEW] taking chromium-browser full-screen and then not doesn't repaint non-chromium-browser part of screen
Public bug reported: Making chromium-browser display full-screen (by hitting F11) and then not (by hitting F11 again) does not repaint the part of the screen that is no longer occupied by chromium-browser. The following events do cause the non-chromium-browser part of the screen to repaint, as long as they occur on the same screen as chromium-browser: - click outside of chromium-browser - cause a window other than chromium-browser to take focus (by mousing over it or clicking it -- I use focus follows mouse) In my dual-head setup, focusing a window on a different screen does not cause a repaint. If the mouse is over a pixel in which a non-chromium-browser window will draw when F11 cancels full-screen mode, then the repaint happens correctly. This does not appear to happen in all applications. For example, gnome- terminal also interprets F11 as full-screen, but this repaint problem doesn't occur with gnome-terminal. (On the other hand, in the case of gnome-terminal, if the mouse is over a chromium-browser pixel when F11 cancels full-screen, then gnome-terminal returns to normal size, then seems to receive a maximize event.) Re: [Bug 1188393] Re: gimp fires asserts
I think the issue is that I've disabled the global (top of screen) menus in favor of in-window menus. I believe the removed packages are only appmenu-gtk and appmenu-gtk3. This is still a bug, though: either gimp requires those libraries (in which case apt / dpkg should notice) or, more reasonably, it should not (in which case the errors on stderr should not be emitted). I begin to suspect this may not be gimp-specific given the above. [Bug 1197531] [NEW] arista sometimes finishes transcoding before EOF without error
Public bug reported: I put a DVD in my DVD reader. Arista launches. I elect to transcode from the DVD to webm. [Bug 1012244] [NEW] launches w3m and then complains it can't launch lynx
Public bug reported: On launch (by any means I've tried, e.g., google contacts list), the app launches w3m, fetches a bunch of cookies, then finishes by reporting w3m: can't load lynx. I'm left in w3m, which I quit and find myself back at the shell prompt. Playing directly with the python API, I can authenticate just by providing my username and password and without having to launch an intermediate browser. [Bug 994731] Re: gnumeric workbook opening maximized loses sheet tabs
This appears to be a window manager bug, not a gnumeric bug, in that I've found other apps with similar behavior (losing the bottom bit of the window when opening maximized). So probably this should be reclassed as compiz. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994731 Title: gnumeric workbook opening maximized loses sheet tabs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnumeric/+bug/994731/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 985834] Re: chromium-browser, once told to use emacs key bindings, never forgets
This was not, in the end, a chromium-browser problem but a gnome problem. Oddly, gconftool showed the problem fixed when it wasn't. But gnome-tweak-tool showed the key bindings still to be emacs, and changing that back to Default fixed the problem immediately. This is a bug -- it shouldn't be so difficult, and different tools shouldn't report different state. But it's not a bug in chromium- browser. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/985834 Title: chromium-browser, once told to use emacs key bindings, never forgets To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/985834/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
