[Bug 1385846] Re: NFS shares in FSTAB no longer mount at boot

2014-12-03 Thread Jens Jäschke
I can confirm that the issue seems to be fixed.
Since I first noticed it being fixed today, I assume the nfs-common update is
responsible which was installed yesterday.

[Bug 1385709] Re: network-manager service doesn't start at boot time

2014-11-11 Thread Jens Jäschke
I am/was also affected by this bug and can confirm that it is caused by
leftover files from a former sendmail installation.
Because of this, I'll add the sendmail package to the bug.

Reinstalling sendmail removed the bug.
Doing an apt-get purge on all sendmail-related packages also removed the bug
(and the offending files).

so it's most probably not a LibreOffice-Bug, but in unity or something
like that.

[Bug 1067045] Re: apt-check reporting incorrect info

2012-10-17 Thread Jens Jäschke
actually, there were 6 packages: three dummy-packages (that always depend on
the latest corresponding real package) and the three real packages, that
contain the new linux-kernel. So 6 packages had to be updated/installed, and
all 6 were security-relevant packages.
The only difference between the outputs of apt-check and apt-get is, that
apt-get distinguishes between packages that will be updated and packages that
will be installed. (If you look closely, there were 6 different packages named
in your initial apt-get output as well.)

okay, so the whole menu-bar is missing.

What LibreOffice version do you use? (you can check by klicking on

Am I right to assume you are using Ubuntu (not Kubuntu, Lubuntu etc.)

2012-10-16 Thread Jens Jäschke
I'm seeing lots of Broken x-server-xorg-video-... messages in the
Aptlog, maybe that's your problem, so you could try to reinstall your
graphics-driver and see if it gets better.

also I doubt it's a bug, but, as it says, simply a broken package
somewhere.

But someone who has more knowledge than me should probably also have a look and
check that...

[Bug 1067420] Re: Installing 12.04 LTS from live usb key

2012-10-16 Thread Jens Jäschke
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read How to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

[Bug 704763] Re: boot loader not installed to target disk

2012-10-13 Thread Jens Jäschke
I can confirm this to be still present with 11.10 (didn't test it with 12.04
but will test with 12.10stable).
The bootloader of the primary disk is overwritten to start grub, which is
installed on the linux-HDD. This results in problems when the linux-disk gets
removed or formatted.

[Bug 1063351] [NEW] Canon i550 printer doesn't print black (CUPS+Gutenprint)

2012-10-07 Thread Jens Jäschke
Public bug reported:

Since I had to reinstall my Canon i550 printer, the printer refuses to
print black. I've tracked the source of the problem down to the printer-
driver, since with Windows, the printer works fine, and if I switch to
the driver for i560, it also prints black (but isn't usable because the
result is distorted). Even when printing from another (Windows-)PC via
network, the printer works fine.

I'm using:
- CUPS + Gutenprint v5.2.8-pre1
- Kubuntu 12.04 (64-bit)
