[Bug 210472] Re: Timidity daemon doesn't play nice with pulse audio
Another way to fix this might be to have pulseaudio run as a system-wide daemon instead of a per-user instance. I second the argument. As far as I understand, the it can be done otherwise argument holds for the main section, but does not apply to universe. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. [Bug 145231] Re: cannot restart pidgin
You can get pidgin's version by typing pidgin -v in the console. By the way, pidgin was recently updated in the gutsy repositories, maybe you could try the new version and report, if you still encounter the problem. -- cannot restart pidgin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145231 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 81217] Re: Audio/video metadata extraction does not work
you are probably already aware of this, but i wanted to make sure you haven't overlooked the comment in line 175 of tracker-extract.c (that is before another call to setrlimit), which says: /* Set memory usage to max limit (128MB) - some archs like AMD64 machines do not fully support this or are buggy */ that's why there is a conditional compilation of the following lines depending on defined(__i386__). maybe you could do the same for the other call (around line 484) to make it work for 0.6.0 on x86_64? i've not really familiar with the code and i just took a quick look. if that sounds like a bad idea, just ignore me. ;-) hth -- Audio/video metadata extraction does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/81217 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
