Re: [Bug 610055] Re: [pm-utils][maverick] system stutters, freezes, hangs, gratuitous 'Commit=0' errors
Hello, I seem to recall this was a hardware fault in my case therefore for me it's OK to close this bug. [Bug 610055] Re: [pm-utils][maverick] system stutters, freezes, hangs, gratuitous 'Commit=0' errors
I can confirm that my system actually has broken hardware, which could well have been the cause of this issue for me (and perhaps others.) It only showed up on a memtest running patterns - can someone else please run a memtest overnight and see if they too have an issue? I've been running win7 instead of Ubuntu because of this bug but today started getting a lot of blue screening. Fortunately my thinkpad is still under warranty. -- [pm-utils][maverick] system stutters, freezes, hangs, gratuitous 'Commit=0' errors https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/610055 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 610055] Re: [pm-utils][maverick] system stutters, freezes, hangs, gratuitous 'Commit=0' errors
Does anyone have a suitable / easy work around for this bug? The easiest solution I've come up with is to install 10.04 instead. -- [pm-utils][maverick] system stutters, freezes, hangs, gratuitous 'Commit=0' errors https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/610055 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 442178] Re: rt2860 doesn't connect on 802.11n wifi
This bug also affects me on Lucid (apt-upgraded on the 28th March 2010) The source on ralink's site is pretty ugly, but has worked as a work around for some time. This is a fairly popular driver, and although people might not *need* 802.11n, I believe it's more important what with all the HD video we're trying to stream from our Ubuntu machines these days. -- rt2860 doesn't connect on 802.11n wifi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442178 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 220759] Re: Please Disable Pulse Audio In New Hardy Installs
I agree this *is* a bug. What once worked properly in a previous version (skype/flash for example) no longer works. I have no right to rant on (I sure didn't pay for Ubuntu and nobody for forced me to install it!), but there must be literally thousands of users wondering why their commonly used applications no longer work in Hardy where they once worked just fine. The kind of user this will be affecting most is the new user who doesn't know about IRC, or these bug reports etc. PulseAudio is a great sound server. This effectively renders programs such as Skype useless for this rather large group of users. This is easily enough to put a large chunk of users off Ubuntu all together. Obviously it's a good idea to push these new technologies, but I think this was a poor choice at this time. I think a really good solution could be (or still can be) to have the option of disabling pulseaudio (perhaps a little popup balloon thing shortly after installation of ubuntu.) Perhaps if enough people voice their opinion, something will happen. I apologise if this sounds like a rant, but I truly believe this is a bug in Ubuntu. -- Please Disable Pulse Audio In New Hardy Installs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220759 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 117726] Re: [gutsy] muine crashes on adding music to the playlist
I also get this problem. What a shame! This should most definitely be marked as a bug to be patched via auto-updates. Otherwise it should simply be removed from the repos as it just doesn't work. -- [gutsy] muine crashes on adding music to the playlist https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
