[Bug 1409431] [NEW] evolution-ews spams dbus.log

2015-01-11 Thread John Kennedy
Public bug reported: on closing evolution today evolution-ews began spamming the dbus.log found in ~/.cache/upstart/dbus.log this log grew to 66GB in size and only stopped when the disk partition was full thus making the system unusable. Solution was to delete dbus.log from the CLI. output of

I can confirm that the solutions posted here (#2, #3) DO NOT work on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7510MA). @swapnil, can you tell me how can I find the bug you posted with libmtp? I'd like to monitor that one as well. Thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of

There are actually guides out there for using Honeycomb tablets with Ubuntu. All of them give basically the same instructions, like this http://411technology.wordpress.com/2011/05/14/howto-setup-the-galaxy- tab-or-any-other-mtp-device-for-file-transfers-under-linux/ However, this doesn't seem to

Thanks bbordwell, I'm looking forward to trying this patch. Actually, maybe I should already know this, but do you know when kernel 2.6.36 should become available to Ubuntu users through the usual upgrade procedures? -- Thrashing turns system unusable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/620074 You

Tim, I don't think the question is WHY the thrashing starts. I understand that trying to use more than the physical RAM installed on your system will generate paging. The problem as I see it is that Linux seems to become unusable once thrashing starts. I will open a new bug about this, but I

It's indeed very easy to get thrashing---in my case, 2GB RAM running a couple of memory-intensive problems like Mathematica and Gimp Resynthesizer at the same time makes the system almost completely unresponsive. I'm talking about Lucid Lynx with all the updates made. I think for a desktop
