selected.
Expected result: all of the text in the find box is selected.
The shortcuts for cut, paste and copy all work as expected except for

Yes, I am running compiz, although the same thing occurs with desktop
effects turned off.

I also experience similar problems, although I do not use freecell or
any games. Each time it happens the last message in dmesg is pid.c:
Stale PID file, overwriting.. I also notice the screen flickers black
every now and then as if it is about to crash, but it doesn't most of
the time.
Just adding that this is functionality that I would like to happen. I
don't normally get this behaviour on Karmic, only rarely. However, I
want music to continue playing when switching users. I shall attempt a
Pulseaudio log if it happens to me again.

I think it is a dup of that bug.
I had added in wins to the nsswitch file and now that I've removed it
liferea is working again. So it is a samba-related bug.

I also notice the same bug, it occurs quite often in the latest Banshee
development release but also in Nautilus. I have the latest version of
libgcc1 cpp-4.4 libstdc++6 gcc-4.4-base installed.

I've tested with the nouveau driver on the latest Karmic and brightness
does not change with the function keys. It can be changed with the
brightness applet. I think this confirms that it is at least not
completely the fault of the nvidia binary driver.
