[Bug 704046] Re: [launcher] can't add java programs as favorites

[Bug 238805] Re: ntpd doesn't work - time is not synchronized
Ok, but then the question is. How/why did this happen? Did ntpdate not get called when I first installed package ntp? (Years ago), and my clock has been always out of sync and drifting I did just notice? (possible) or did the clock get out of sync when I turned off the machine for a couple of weeks because I was on vacation? (also possible). [Bug 238805] Re: ntpd doesn't work - time is not synchronized
Ok, after further research, it seems that ntp really is not working on my system: ntpdate returns no server suitable for synchronization found every time regardless of what server I point it too, and ntpq -p does not have star next to any server and reach, delay, offset, and jitter all show 0. -- ntpd doesn't work - time is not synchronized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238805 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to ntp in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

My symptoms are the same on ubuntu 9.10 karmic. [Bug 147505] Re: helix plugin not loaded by firefox. Work around.
I have observed the same packaging bug. Firefox will not discover the helix plugin until symbolic links are created in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins. These links should be created by the package installer, but they are not. A work around is to create the symbolic links manually as follows: sudo ln -s /etc/alternatives/mozilla-browser_nphelix.mozilla-browser_nphelix.so /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/nphelix.so sudo ln -s /etc/alternatives/mozilla-browser_nphelix.mozilla-browser_nphelix.xpt /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/nphelix.xpt -- helix plugin not loaded by firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147505 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
