[Bug 185470] Re: iwl3945 not functioning : microcode error
Hello community, Sorry to say, but I am having this bug in Ubuntu Lucid. The Microcode error appears after heavy load. Similar, if not the same bug, has been reported also: http://bugzilla.intellinuxwireless.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1593 and at the end there is still a user with Ubuntu 9.10 RC having this issue. Happens with kernel 2.6.32-19-generic-pae but also with 2.6.32-21 -generic-pae-phc (low voltage tunning). Mostly happens after heavy net loads (download a 150Mb file from another computer in the local network), after several seconds, sometimes it works sometimes hangs (too often). I have tried to load the module with the debug parameter, as described in http://bugzilla.intellinuxwireless.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1593, which is: modprobe iwl3945 debug=0x43fff but got the error: [ 1019.362270] iwl3945: Unknown parameter `debug' So, here is my dmesg | grep iwl3945: [ 29.336229] iwl3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection driver for Linux, 1.2.26ks [ 29.336232] iwl3945: Copyright(c) 2003-2009 Intel Corporation [ 29.337551] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: PCI INT A - GSI 17 (level, low) - IRQ 17 [ 29.337566] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: setting latency timer to 64 [ 29.453187] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: Tunable channels: 13 802.11bg, 23 802.11a channels [ 29.453191] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 3945ABG [ 29.453424] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: irq 28 for MSI/MSI-X [ 29.873686] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: firmware: requesting iwlwifi-3945-2.ucode [ 29.896601] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: loaded firmware version 15.32.2.9 [ 202.230482] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: PCI INT A disabled [ 211.879127] iwl3945: Unknown parameter `debug' [ 259.926254] iwl3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection driver for Linux, 1.2.26ks [ 259.926258] iwl3945: Copyright(c) 2003-2009 Intel Corporation [ 259.926361] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: PCI INT A - GSI 17 (level, low) - IRQ 17 [ 259.926383] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: setting latency timer to 64 [ 259.983051] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: Tunable channels: 13 802.11bg, 23 802.11a channels [ 259.983055] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 3945ABG [ 259.983208] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: irq 28 for MSI/MSI-X [ 259.998847] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: firmware: requesting iwlwifi-3945-2.ucode [ 260.017170] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: loaded firmware version 15.32.2.9 [ 999.566361] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: PCI INT A disabled [ 1019.362270] iwl3945: Unknown parameter `debug' [ 1197.464932] iwl3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection driver for Linux, 1.2.26ks [ 1197.464937] iwl3945: Copyright(c) 2003-2009 Intel Corporation [ 1197.465036] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: PCI INT A - GSI 17 (level, low) - IRQ 17 [ 1197.465057] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: setting latency timer to 64 [ 1197.522048] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: Tunable channels: 13 802.11bg, 23 802.11a channels [ 1197.522053] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 3945ABG [ 1197.522204] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: irq 28 for MSI/MSI-X [ 1197.538119] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: firmware: requesting iwlwifi-3945-2.ucode [ 1197.541683] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: loaded firmware version 15.32.2.9 [ 1408.575504] iwl3945 :0c:00.0: Microcode SW error detected. [Bug 255058] Re: TAB autocomplete does not work correctly for chown user:group
Changing the binding of autocompletion function to command from this: complete -F _chown $filenames chown to this: complete -F _chown -o nospace chown avoids both the quotting of the colon and the adding of a trailing space added (both actions are performed by Bash's autocompletion features, so the package selection is probably right). The relevant line is in /etc/bash_completion.
