[Bug 1010188] [NEW] gnome-terminal crashes when running from other gnome-terminal

2012-06-07 Thread Julien Lamarche
Public bug reported:

To reproduce bug, I do the following:

1. In Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS, open a gnome-terminal

2. Type gnome-terminal

(
gnome-terminal -v outputs
Terminal GNOME 2.30.2
)

3. I get the attached output, plus a recursive loop that keeps opening
new (nautilus?) windows

** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 560690] Re: User's chosen language is not remembered between re-logins

2012-05-17 Thread Julien Lamarche
This bug is affecting me.

1. I select my user
2. I select Français (Canada) as my language
3. I specify my password and login
4. I logout
5. I select my user
6. The language selected is
Unspecified [ANSI_X3-1968]

When logging in using Français (Canada) as my language, I have:

jlam@lusk:~$ cat /home/jlam/.dmrc

[Desktop]
Language=fr_CA.utf8
Layout=us

jlam@lusk:~$ cat /etc/default/locale
LANG=en_US
LANGUAGE=fr_CA:fr:fr_FR:en_US:en

So .dmrc is being written to.

I double checked to see if .dmrc would be written after loging out but
before logging back in. It was still fr_CA.utf8
