I also have the same issue. The only way in is through ssh and restarting gdm. Hi, I no longer have the laptop in which I used to report the issue. On the other hand the issue shows up on 2 other laptops that I have, the main difference is the thermal number. I have test cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone(number error)/type and it does say iwlwifi_1.
