FYI: I have a Lenovo X230 with Ubuntu 12.04. My card reader was not
working until I followed Premik's commands followed by rmmoding and
modprobing sdhci and sdhci_pci. As soon as I did that the card
automounted.

I have a Dell 1535. I recently upgraded to 8.10 RC.
My problem is that my headphone jack does not work. When I plug in

@Tim:
I'm not the right person to answer this but I'm sure .hal-mtab is important
because it lets HAL know what devices are currently mounted. It sounds like
the file itself is not the problem but, rather, something is propagating
.hal-mtab with repetitive lines. When the device then gets
I have stopped using this functionality since it broke. A good
workaround is to
1) Open the ftp or ssh folder in nautilus (ex: ssh://mysshserver.com)
2) Give nautilus your login details and store it on the keyring
3) Add the location as a nautilus bookmark
Then the server location will show up

I get the same error when unmounting an iaudio 7 as well as an ipod
shuffle (mounted to /media/IPOD). It unmounts and removes the directory
properly so I don't believe this error message is warranted.

A fresh install fixed this. There must be a bug when updating from Edgy

If all of the desklets in gdesklets-data work with the version of
