First, I should mention that the driver in general works very well and I
have not encountered other problems with it.
I noticed however that vulkaninfo (from vulkan-tools) is not able to
run. I think it is either related to Wayland or my prime configuration.
I tried with

The latter works much better from my experience and what I read online.

Setting thunderbolt to No Security on my device (XPS 9500 with Ubuntu 20.10)
fixes the random disconnect, but input devices still randomly stop working.
The only way to fix this is to unplug them and plug them back in.
When they stop working there is no disconnect message, or any other

Thanks everybody! I ended up taking the long route through grub. Two
additions to the solution from the other bugreport:
1. My root disk is encrypted so I had to use the "ro init=/binb/bash"
flag instead to get to the password promt. If you use `rw` you (or at
least my setup) get stuck before bash

Trying to start the gallery app and all I get is an empty window and the
following output in the terminal:

Seems like the gallery-app scans your whole home folder and media
folders. Starting the app for the first time takes like 10 minutes for
me because of that.
I also store my pictures on a different drive (mounted to /mnt/xyz), and
there seems no way to configure that. Should I file a separate bug f

But it only seems to happen when I watch netflix with google chrome
while undocking. Also, the audio continues to play after the xserver
crashed, i.e. I see the tty but still hear the audio.

Server crashes after undocking from docki

When I plug in an external monitor nothing happens. I would assume that
the monitor would be set the to configuration that I used last time.
However, when I open the control center the monitor gets configured
fine. Its really annoying though to have to open the control center
I have a problem like this in wily. Sometimes the global menu is not the
menu of the focused window.
This seems to happen when one of the applications if maximized and the
focused application isn't.
