[Bug 2071854] Re: kubuntu 24.04 keep freezing randomly

2024-07-03 Thread Kashad J Turner-Warren
I boot up to the 6.10-rc4 kernel using nvidia X.org configuration. Here
are my logs:

https://app.warp.dev/block/jv2ZBzuQS2vyGDkEiz0LLQ
https://app.warp.dev/block/A55ODCqgKZcBz4mpALgCWp
https://app.warp.dev/block/tFVkJTUqYyAxoyPbQnLHJB

I plug my charger into my laptop, which has not frozen.
I have assignments which require me using pycharm so I will keep using 6.10-rc4
kernel and give you updates by tomorrow

[Bug 2071854] Re: kubuntu 24.04 keep freezing randomly

2024-07-03 Thread Kashad J Turner-Warren
Thank You for your response Matthew

I will be open to trying the new mainline stream 6.10-rc4.
Should I put my Nvidia in X.Org Server mode, or will it still not work?

I added quiet splash acpi=off to my grub file. I will provide an update
if that helps with my freezing issue.

I plug my AC adapter into my laptop, and it freezes again.
I took a picture of my phone's output before the laptop froze completely.

I have updated the report.
I believe it is the 'acpi' package.

I run 'sudo journalctl -f | grep 'acpi'. this is the output:

[Bug 1950184] [NEW] ACPI Error Message After Wake Up HP Omen 15

2021-11-08 Thread Kashad J Turner-Warren
Public bug reported:

I had my IPhone 12 pro plugged into laptop USB slot before I open my laptop.
When I open my laptop, this is the message I got after waking up my
laptop:

[17646.068708] ACPI Error: AE_BAD_PARAMETER, Returned by Handler for
[EmbeddedControl]
(20210331/evregion-281)

previous error
(AE_BAD_PARAMETER) (20210331/psparse-529)

I had to hold the power button to reboot my laptop.
Once I login, I ran journalctl | grep -a "ACPI Error" command:

Re: [Bug 1894627] Re: [nvidia] Web browser distorted after hibernation/power save when idle

2020-10-23 Thread Kashad J Turner-Warren
I have attached a screenshot of my screen. I am using Google chrome.
It's that distort box on the top left corner. sometimes, it will fill up my
screen
the same size as the webpage. I have to close the browser completely to
remove it.
