Am using Jaunty, have been using network-manager until tonight.
After an upgrade (and reboot), the update - button was red, so I did a
sudo dpkg --configure -a from terminal. This did fail, no network
connection.

of the computer.
Fix: Reboot 3 times after the initial reboot after upgrade

Removing Nvidia solved the problem for me to, why are the nvidia-modules
installed by default? - Am not using any chipsets from Nvidia, on any of
my computers - but the nvidia drivers became installed on the two with
GUI.

Sorry, my fault. Looked at everything but the versions..
The reason I reported was that I got it in Intrepid, using the 9.27 that
are in the repository. I'll fix my report tomorrow,
Got the same thing, installed Opera and used it for the first time on
Intrepid.
What I did to replicattet this bug was: Open a single webpage, close
Opera - and the bug appeared.

On this kernel, the ipw2200 modules are unloadable. The kernel that was
in the Ubuntu repository yesterday, did work as shown in the last output
from syslog.
## First the parts proving it to be malfunctioning:

Got this signal on 8.10, clean install.
Did a 100% clean and straight install, rebooted, updated, rebooted - and
the message was waiting. Firefox is the first program I'm using in 8.10
(except for the updating programs).

I've had this problem some time, but were unable to pinpoint it due to
bug #228707. A change in my wireless network (from WEP key to WPA) made
me see when bug I am struggling with..

The sad thing is that after doing a clean install of 8.04.1 it works
fine - but something happend on the first upgrade making my wireless
network connection b0rken. This Redhat - bug makes it really hard to
pinpoint what's happening, since the data I'm looking for would have
been written in these
