I'm also having this problem on Intrepid 8.10 64bit. My webcam
(Creative Live Vista IM VF0260) works correctly when plugged directly to
my laptop but does not work if it is plugged into the docking station.

Yup, my ibex setup is up-2-date and I can see video until I try to
resize or fast forward. After that everything goes blank. I've been
using totem to watch videos so this isn't really a loss for me but
there is a sound issue in totem (recent to ibex) on certain codecs.
