I can confirm the problem. I'm also using maverick and never noticed
this problem with older Ubuntu releases.
Reproduction is quite easy: Open any software which has toolbar buttons
(Like gedit), move the mouse pointer over one of the toolbar buttons
(For example Save), wait a few seconds.
I have the same problem with diacode 0.8.3-3 in Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit).
For some reason the tool doesn't see the name specified in the
association.

Problem can also be reproduced with the current Ubuntu 9.04 Live CD. It
also happens with disabled Compiz and with different video cards. So it
has nothing to do with Compiz or the commercial driver or the graphics

I can confirm this problem. Just updated my workstation to Jaunty and
now Rhythmbox is no longer able to stream sound to my Debian Box
(Running lenny with pulse audio 0.9.10). When I press play then
