[Bug 1419001] Re: Reminders trigger at the time of the event and not before by default

2015-03-12 Thread Kunal Parmar
Is it possible to get this default notification time from google with
the sync?

I think this needs to be handled at EDS plugin end. When EDS syncs the
events it needs to check google's notification setting and modify the
event in local storage.

[Bug 1347836] Re: Events saved to birthdays calendar don't appear in timeline

2014-09-27 Thread Kunal Parmar
as it seems, Birthday and Anniversaries calendar is marked as readonly
in Evolution, so event can not be save to this calendar and error also
suggest the same.

But if we can get this information from EDS that certain calendar is
marked as read only then we can show appropriate option in Calendar App

[Bug 1364653] Re: Daily Recurring Events need refresh to appear when created from DayView

2014-09-22 Thread Kunal Parmar
Hi Jason,

EDS is just plugin for Organizer Model.
What I know is Qt's Organizer model will call certain API from plug in, which
means EDS. and Then call provide necessary signal to client like calendar.

To understand how mode refresh is called, I think you will need to go
though Qt' Organizer model's code.

And I used proper CollectionId, I mean used collection which is relevant

[Bug 1294426] [NEW] EDS disabling the QML application's log

2014-03-18 Thread Kunal Parmar
Public bug reported:

EDS plugin is disabling the QML app's log printed by console.log() or
print(), by installing null message handler
(QOrganizerEDSEngineMessageOutput)

Which is making QML app's debugging little difficult and its also hide
crucial warning message.

QOrganizerEDSEngine* QOrganizerEDSEngine::createEDSEngine(const QMapQString,
QString parameters)
{
// disable debug message if variable not exported
if (qgetenv(QORGANIZER_EDS_DEBUG).isEmpty()) {
qInstallMessageHandler(QOrganizerEDSEngineMessageOutput);
  }

It started showing log message if we export QORGANIZER_EDS_DEBUG env
variable., but also prints EDS debug log.

I believe EDS should filter log and print log which does not belongs to
EDS.

[Bug 1265953] [NEW] allDay field in QOrganizerEvent/ Event QML item is not being saved to EDS

2014-01-03 Thread Kunal Parmar
Public bug reported:

allDay[1] field in QOrganizerEvent/ Event QML item is not being saved to
EDS

Following is code from Calendar, which I am using to save event to EDS,
var event = Qt.createQmlObject(import QtOrganizer 5.0; Event { },
Qt.application,NewEvent.qml);
event.startDateTime = startDate;
event.endDateTime = endDate;
event.displayLabel = titleEdit.text;

event.allDay = allDayEventCheckbox.checked;

eventModel.saveItem(event);

When I retrieve this event from model, the allDay event property is
always false.
