Hi Jose,
Thanks for testing, I'm glad it fixed your panel sizing issues.
Two things -- TV out is a bit of a misnomer. It means the
SVideo/analog style TVout connectors, which as I'm led to believe, the
XPS 1330 doesn't have.
The HDMI protocol is very similar to DVI, and as such would be
, and gnome-panel only
grows to the size of the smallest display (so you can see the whole of
it when it's cloned across several resolutions.)
Cheers,
Kyle McMartin

This also seems to happen on both i386 and amd64. Likely this is related
to vbetool segfaulting instead of properly POSTing the card on resume
from suspend. (And hence the backlight not coming back on 965GM.)

To explicate a bit, the reason this fails (Nvidia disabling the code) is
the same on both -nv and -vesa, since we would attempt to use vbetool
(the video bios in general) to repost the card in either case,

Please try updating to the mesa packages in
http://people.ubuntu.com/~kyle/crestline-mesa/ which should fix things
for you.
The most important packages would be:
libgl1-mesa-dri
libgl1-mesa-glx
libglu1-mesa
mesa-utils
Cheers,
Kyle

GMCHB0ICHB0 isn't a particularly useful identifier for this board. Is it

Anyway, from the pci ids, I can see that it's a 965GM.
Please try tomorrow's daily as it will have an updated discover-data.
