The mail-notification.schema is not registred in gconf database. I don't know why but dh_gconf don't add the gconftool-2 --register command line in the postinst script. This is a problem of web template. The default template (named php- default) seems to have a big problem (missing pics). Always the same problem on Edgy RC. The system does not start without acpi=off noapic kernel options. I have the same problem in the released version of dapper. This problem was always present on the Edgy knot 2. I have not tested on the knot 3 or the beta release of edgy.
