[Bug 1314782] Re: multimedia keys don't work when xfce4-volumed is run in daemon mode
I simply used the same code as xfsettingsd… (consistency is good, at least now we know this code is buggy ;-). Thanks for the patch, I've added it to my todo list (btw, the lp branch is only a mirror). Feel free to include it in the ubuntu package without waiting for a new release, since it seems Ubuntu is the most affected by this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1314782 Title: multimedia keys don't work when xfce4-volumed is run in daemon mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-volumed/+bug/1314782/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1296992] [NEW] Leftover conffile
Public bug reported: Hi, The changelog of 14.04.2 contains: remove etc/xdg/xdg-xubuntu/xfce4/panel/whiskermenu-1.rc But from a quick look through the debdiff, it seems it is not deleted from the system. It looks like a conffile to me (I can't check the 14.04.1 deb right now to be sure), so you need to add it to debian/xubuntu-default-settings.maintscript with the proper version to be removed magically. Otherwise it'll stay on the system, and might take precedence over /usr/share/xfce4/whiskermenu/defaults.rc. [Bug 1289755] [NEW] Wrong shlibs
Public bug reported: Hi, http://git.xfce.org/xfce/libxfce4ui/commit/?id=d5467df1c64ff6cf6884cd7347a3c8c62c49b32e introduced a new symbol, xfce_dialog_show_help_with_version(), but you didn't bump debian/*.shlibs files for the new release. This means that a package using the new function will be installable with the old libxfce4ui (dpkg won't complain), but it will crash on use because the symbol is missing. I fixed it in pkg-xfce svn: http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pkg- xfce?view=revisionrevision=8318 You'll also need to rebuild any package using xfce_dialog_show_help_with_version() against the fixed libxfce4ui. ** Affects: libxfce4ui (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1289755 Title: Wrong shlibs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libxfce4ui/+bug/1289755/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1226200] Re: Install/upgrade failure when numix-gtk-theme PPA package present
I've added Conflicts: shimmer-themes in the Numix PPA. Obviously, that won't do. The only thing you're going to achieve with that is prevent people to have all shimmer themes installed at the same time, and have apt remove either shimmer-themes or numix-gtk-theme on upgrades, depending on which of them gets the highest score. Numix seems to be a theme under the umbrella of the shimmerproject, which already has a PPA, a daily PPA, and we ensured in the past that packages would use a different namespace/folder name (e.g. albatross- git) or ship an updated shimmer-themes in the ppa, to avoid any conflict with the ubuntu package. So why break that rule now? Please remove the Conflicts: shimmer-themes, thanks. (On a side note, the shimmer-themes binary package is *small*, 500Ko, so I don't see the point in splitting it in many very small binary packages, one for each theme...) ** Changed in: shimmer-themes (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released = Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1226200 Title: Install/upgrade failure when numix-gtk-theme PPA package present To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/numix/+bug/1226200/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1153378] [NEW] [FFe] xfce4-volumed 0.2.0
Public bug reported: Hi, I'd like to upload xfce4-volumed 0.2.0 to raring. It's a port to pulseaudio of the original xfce4-volumed which is gstreamer-based, and doesn't cope well with having Pulseaudio by default in Xubuntu (various problems to unmute, handle multiple cards, bluetooth devices, etc., cf. Bugs #990562, #970009, #883485). There's no difference feature-wise, with the exception of setting the default card (previously this has to be done through xfconf-query [command line], now this can be done with pavucontrol for example). Xubuntu already ships pavucontrol, so now xfce4-volumed will actually follow the default sink option. This has been ready since the end of the precise cycle, but due to a lack of time it hadn't been uploaded yet (although has been tested since then on precise, quantal and raring -- I mean, it still works with pulseaudio 0.3.0). The changelog is a bit pointless (Initial port to pulseaudio, of course -- I can attach the full git log if needed). As a side effect it should fix the multiple memleaks, 100% cpu usages and crashes on login reported on lp. The debian/changelog will be: xfce4-volumed (0.2.0-0ubuntu1) raring; urgency=low . * New upstream release with pulseaudio support. lp: #883485, #970009, #990562 * debian/patches/xubuntu_preselect-pulseaudio.patch: dropped, unneeded. * debian/rules: - disable silent rules - keep the program named xfce4-volumed so the change is invisible to the users. * Add a manpage. lp: #428023 * debian/control: - build-depends on libpulse-dev instead of libgstreamer0.10-dev and libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-dev. - recommends pulseaudio instead of gstreamer. It builds, installs and works fine. This is a long-standing issue, so in the Xubuntu team we'd be grateful if the exception could be granted. Thanks in advance. ** Affects: xfce4-volumed (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: build log https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1153378/+attachment/3567269/+files/build2.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1153378 Title: [FFe] xfce4-volumed 0.2.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-volumed/+bug/1153378/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
