[Bug 1936754] Re: screen display: the last pixel column (on the right) is displayed on the left
the bug disapeared some time ago (weeks?). Maybe after a package update. I can't say. ** Changed in: linux-firmware-raspi2 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1936754 Title: screen display: the last pixel column (on the right) is displayed on the left To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-raspi2/+bug/1936754/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1936754] [NEW] screen display: the last pixel column (on the right) is displayed on the left
Public bug reported: on the screen the first column of pixels (on the left) is weird. Actually it appears to be the most right column that's displayed there. The whole screen is displayed shifted on clomun to the right, and looping so the last column right is displayed on the left border. If you move your cursor on the right edge, it appears (one pixel wide) on the left. Same thing if you move a window beyond the right eddge. For example a white window, you'll see a white column on the left. (it might be two pixels wide(?)) It does not appear on a screenshot. It's on a Raspberry pi 400 - 20.10, had no problem. After upgrade the problem appeared. - on a fresh 21.04 install, there's no problem either. It appears after a package update (apt upgrade) and reboots. 'linux-firmware-raspi2' is a raw guess. [Bug 1451398] Re: too few information on Authentication Dialog
My bank uses double identification (website + mobile app). When the mobile app asks for a pin to confirm a payment, it displays the payment information. So I know that the confirmation request comes from the payment I just initiated, and that it's not a random window that pops up from nowhere. I think the Authentication Dialog should work the same way, displaying information from the originating application, something like: The application "foo bar" is requesting authentication for "doing this and that". For example: == Authentication request The application "Software Update" is requesting authentication for "installing gnome-maps, gnome-photos, gnome-foo, gnome-bar" Please enter... Password: [_] == If the explanation string starts to be long, there could be a summary string, and a longuer one in a collapsable container (or alike) For example: == Authentication request The application "Software Update" is requesting authentication for "installing gnome-maps, gnome-photos, gnome-foo, gnome-bar" and more... [Bug 1485153] Re: Unable to connect to GeoClue
I fully second the previous comment #13 : - still in 16.10 - started by the session, it works perfectly - started "by hand", it fails and throws the geoclue error - enabling "Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services" makes it work again There are 2 bugs (IMHO) 1. there is no reason why it would work from the session but not when started by hand 2. redshift-gtk should be more friendly about the error and suggest a solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1485153 Title: Unable to connect to GeoClue To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/redshift/+bug/1485153/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
