When the user isn't signed in, the switch looks deform / squeezed. See
the attached screenshot.
Maybe the blue spinner is somehow calculated into the padding and when
the spinner is gone (after "Checking availability"), the padding does
not match and the switch gets squeezed.

Could you check if the text is also clipped using the Adwaita theme? If
so, then it's a bug in Gnome Disks, as you already mentioned, where the
dialogue box isn't wide enough.
