Indeed Benjamin,
that lead me to work around the problem by using "Quit at the end of
playlist" in the "Media" menu of VLC.
But it is not very elegant...;-)

I have tested what you suggest: The status given by the command `xdg-
screensaver status` is "enabled" all the time, before, during
As it seems to be pointless to engage into the discussion about this

minimize windows. It works quite nicely as my left hand will not leave

Ok, I found the problem: HUD only works if you make use of the global
menu.

Public bug reported:
Hello there,

Rémi,
I'm sorry but that is not very helpful to me. Could you give me the

What I already found out is the following

@lniedzwiecki:
I doubt that is true.
I still do encounter some blank windows on restoring and I never had the
dodge animation set.
I will try disabling all animations as Iestyn suggests.
The problem is that the bug does not show very often anymore (which is
fine, of course) but it makes it diff
The icon in the launcher does not show the right number of unread

What I found dis this:

Thanks Gabriel for your confirmation.
But in your case it could be feature instead of a bug.
To make sure, people do not get me wrong:
In my case I will not get the application specific menu items at all.
I only get the menu items of totally unrelated applications (mostly

Hi Rémi,
thanks, what do you need?
If you can tell me which logs and traces you need, I am happy to provide
those. Give me some CLI commands.
I can find my way on the CLI to some extent...;-)
