[Bug 301764] Re: [i865] Xorg freeze with 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller

2009-01-06 Thread Martin Ammermüller
I have a similar problem. I have two identical machines (fujitsu siemens
scenic n300) with an intel i865G graphics card. One runs 8.04 (remote
install, i can ssh to this machine) and one runs 8.10 (here).

The machine with 8.10 has random freezes. Only option is a hard reset
most of the time. Sometimes I can switch to a console and initiate a
reboot with strg-alt-del. Sometimes gdm starts up to freeze after a few
seconds. I tried Option ForceEnablePipeA "TRUE" with no effect.
Currently I run X with Option DRI "FALSE" and couldn't reproduce a
freeze using the steps piesco described in his original bugreport. If
disabling DRI has no effect, i will downgrade to 8.04 and will install
8.10 on another harddrive if a developer looks into this and wants some
testing done.

On the 8.04 machine, everything runs smoothly.

2008-11-07 Thread Martin Ammermüller

Binary package hint: beagle

Since my update to Intrepid Ibex, at least beagle-search stopped to

matches in file names are returned. Package poppler-utils is installed.

[Bug 248759] [NEW] [Hardy]Loading SVG hogs CPU

2008-07-15 Thread Martin Ammermüller
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When loading an SVG like
http://art.gnome.org/download/backgrounds/abstract/3641/ABSTRACT-

and my System becomes unusable. Loading the mentioned SVG with eog or
setting it as desktop background works as expected.

[Bug 186049] Re: System.DllNotFoundException: libgalago

2008-07-12 Thread Martin Ammermüller
Only caveat: metainformation for searchresults, which hung beagle-search
previously, isn't filled in automatically and metainfo for a
searchresult only appears after a click on the searchresult.

[Bug 37382] Re: ata timeout freezes system partly

2008-07-12 Thread Martin Ammermüller
Well, i wanted to add it to the list through "also affected" but
launchpad insist on telling me linux-source-2.6.24 is a binary package
and assigns it to source package linux.
