Ack! Seems like the libfreetype6-dev was pulled along with the rest of the build-dependencies on Debain, wheras only libfreetype6 is pulled in on Ubuntu. Regardless, the build-dependecies were simultaneously superfluous and incomplete, I've fixed this and requested sponsorship for this, hope to
