I was editing vm details within virt-manager of a running win7_x64
machine. I added 250gb, virtio bus, qcow2, and cache none. I rebooted
windows and this error appeared. I already have qemu-kvm installed. OS
is Debian 8 amd64.

I ran into this error on a different (CentOS 6 x86_64) system. Simply executing nslookup would return the error nslookup: parse of /etc/resolv.conf failed. Upon close inspection of the contents nothing was out of order. Permissions and ownership also looked good and I was executing nslookup as root. It was then I noticed lsattr /etc/resolv.conf was showing the e flag set. The customer had copied resolv.conf over from a different server (also ext4 formatted). I believe it may be that this attribute was set on the previous filesystem, and when moved to the new ext4 file system the extent mappings were incorrect, which caused the read/parse problem. In my case the hardware is a Dell Optiplex 755, dual core 3ghz, 4gb ram.
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 i686 with kernel 2.6.32-25-generic-pae.
Evolution version is 2.8.3, Nautilus is 2.30.1. I'm checking my email on
MS Exchange 2003 via OWA with Evolution. The crashing without warning
usually happens first thing in the morning when the Exchange server is
very busy. Sometimes Evolution will let me know it has lost
communication with the backend Exchange processes. In either case, there
are always two background Evolution processes running that have to be
killed manually before the client can be launched again :

I figured out what was wrong in my case; The 1855 chassis doesn't have the right cpu flags to operate as a fully virt hardware. This is on a fresh install of server 10.04 amd64. I selected VM host and
SSH upon install, added virt-manager, virt-viewer, xterm, and ubuntu-vm-
builder afterwards. I have changed networking to bridge eth0, and set
libvirtxml.tmpl to use br0 by default. Using virt-manager locally on the
host I attempt to install Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 from DVD .ISO. I
selected Windows and Windows 2008 from the drop-down list, set it 1
CPU, 4096 MB RAM, 40GB disk (I tried both thin and full provisioned
disk). It successfully creates the disk, but when it goes to create the
domain it fails with this message:

I have a fresh install of 9.04 with all the latest updates. I use a Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse.
