[Bug 443330] Re: USB Creator does not warn or ask user to confirm before formatting disks
While I agree that this bug is severe, losing person's most important data is the fault of this person itself. It is irresponsible beyond imagination to keep all such important things just in one place. There are loads of things that could happen to that drive beyond formatting it by mistake; most of all, drives just brake from time to time. Keeping two copies is an absolute minimum and I personally tend to keep my really most important data at least in 3 places, one of which is not the drive I keep at home. It amazes me that so many people are still making this very same huge mistake. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/443330 Title: USB Creator does not warn or ask user to confirm before formatting disks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usb-creator/+bug/443330/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 780970] [NEW] GDB: internal problem detected (thread.c:598: internal-error)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdb I often experience many issues involving how Netbeans handle C++ projects. First of all, it sometimes (randomly) chooses not to activate the Step into global option and I can't just press F7 to start debugging, I have to right-click the project (which is set as main project!) and click Step into. Secondly, very often clicking Step into makes Netbeans point me at the end of my few short functions (actually, at the end of the first one) and nothing works, neither Step into nor Step over. Restarting the debugger doesn't help, I have to restart Netbeans and re-add all my watches... [Bug 93847] Re: Excessive CPU usage by Gnome System Monitor
@Thomas Weiler This 8% is not everything, if I switch to the Resources tab I see CPU usage of about 15-20% on each core which is a lot considering I'm not running anything computionally complex. On my older laptop it was a lot more than this 15-20%, it reached 50-70% IIRC. Besides, it's not only a g-s-m process, Xorg also counts as it suffers from excessive calls from g-s-m. Each a few seconds/a minute there is also a peak: g-s-m to about 25%, Xorg to about 50%. @Thomas Weiler Maybe you're right but that would mean most of alleged dups should be un-dupped, look at their description. Besides, if you look at the bugzilla report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=524830 you'll see they claim that the problem is caused by some inefficient updating of the structure displayed so it should not mess up with top.
