1. During the installation I had chosen to install 3rd party applications.
(this includes flash)
2.Even though flash IS verified installed this error appears immediately on

this time, the first test fails to have any results.

Consider the use case where a user is attempting to connect to two
different servers, with two different accounts, and two different
passwords. This is completely possible, but if the user attempts this
using book marks in the places menu, hitting

A better response might be to simply reattempt connecting, without
showing the users an error at all.
Laymen likely won't immediately understand that they took too long to
type their passwords.

Pidgin hangs when a specific link is inserted into the IM text field.

The duplicate bug is on a second laptop that has the same configuration
as the origional bug. Difference being that the hanging pidgin was
installed through the install disk, while the crashing pidgin was
upgraded inline from jaunty.
Both machines are 32 bit.
