A workaround is to install Geogebra 6 from a .deb package from the
Geogebra website. That's documented on
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1043791/geogebra-from-apt-repository-
silently-dies-on-ubuntu-18-04/1043814#1043814 and this worked fine for
me.

Felix's workaround works fine for me, even though it's a temporary solution, of
course.

I've just had this issue that can happen to anyone. My /boot partition

I did remove unnecessary kernel packages which solved my problem, but

Hi,
I still observe this bug with the 20101005 pre-installed image for OMAP4 on the
Blaze board.
I did specify root=/dev/mmcblk1p2 at the first boot, but it took the label of
/dev/mmcblk0p2 (eMMC) instead.
Did the bug really get fixed, or hasn't the fix made its way to the
released images yet?
Hi,
Who's gonna work on this, now that the bug is unassigned?
It confirm that the bug is still there in 20101004 pre-installed image.
Thank you in advance,
Michael.

Hi Ricardo,
I also made my own package for devmem2, but didn't push it any further
because my ITP got rejected by Debian.
This experimental package is described on
http://omappedia.org/wiki/Building_Software_With_CMake and the package
sources can be found on http://free-
I should have added that Debian developers found devmem2 not worthy of
packaging, being a quick hack, and not being very portable.
A better solution would be to package BusyBox's devmem, which is an
improved implementation.
Would it be possible to add devmem support to the BusyBox package?
Oops, I forget to add a link to the Debian
bug:http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=595805
Apologies for the excess traffic.

[needs-packaging] devmem2 needs
The advantage of using BusyBox is that devmem would come for free.
However, people would have to run busybox devmem which is definitely
weird (as there are no links to bin/busybox in today's package). So, I
agree with you.

Here's a quick 'n dirty workaround reported by Olivier Naudan. This is
not a fix at all, of course!
$ sudo vi /var/lib/dpkg/info/initramfs-tools.postinst
# Add exit 0 at the beginning of the script
$ sudo dpkg --configure initramfs-tools
$ sudo vi /var/lib/dpkg/info/initramfs-tools.postinst

Works on Lucid. You can close the bug.

Hello,
Still not fixed on May 28, 2007 (all updates installed).
However, adding a new dictionary to Thunderbird is still very easy.

I confirm that this workaround works. Go back in the install interface,
log as root in a terminal window, delete the partition with fdisk,
recreate it (still in fdisk... at least that's what I did), and proceed
with the installer reusing existing partitions.
