[Bug 1220426] Re: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad
I also still have it in Xubuntu 14.04.5 LTS with nvidia-355 drivers. I checked the sources of the current xorg-server package and the fix isn't adopted in them. Perhaps we could push somehow for it? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1220426 Title: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/1220426/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1624867] [NEW] X.org 1.15 screen freeze issue
Public bug reported: Hi all, I'm running Xubuntu 15.04.5 LTS and am experiencing frequent screen freezes. It's already an older bug which other people seem to still encounter (see #1220426). As it was correctly pointed out in comment #171 (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/+source/xorg- server/+bug/1220426/comments/171), the bug occurs due to an interaction between the synaptics driver and xorg. After adopting the proposed fix, the issue disappears. Would it be possible for you to adopt it in the official repository as well? ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1624867 Title: X.org 1.15 screen freeze issue To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1624867/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1220426] Re: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad
Hey guys, since no fix for trusty has been released, I've taken matters into my own hands. My own repository includes the fixed discussed in comment #251. You use it as follows: # sudo add-apt-repository ppa:minium/xorg-server # sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade Cheers -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1220426 Title: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/1220426/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1303739] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad T520] Casual screen freeze in Xubuntu 14.04
Nope, when running on noveau the error does not occur. However, as I noted before, it appears to be some strange interaction between the touchpad and the nvidia driver. After deactivating the touchpad functionality (setting it on mouse mode), the symptoms disappear as well. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1303739 Title: [Lenovo ThinkPad T520] Casual screen freeze in Xubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1303739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1303736] Re: Black screen after wakeup from suspending by closing the laptop lid
Don't ask me why, but it appears that my fix isn't working anymore? It may be due to an upgrade to the 3.14.4 kernel mainline. [Bug 1303736] Re: Black screen after login from suspend in Xubuntu 14.04
My bad on comment #44, it was a false-positive. Further analysis has shown the following: - Going into suspend mode via closed lid still produces a black screen after login on the laptop monitor - Going into suspend mode via closed lid does not produce a black screen after login on an external monitor (connected via DisplayPort) - The patch does not appear not change any of this behaviour -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1303736 Title: Black screen after login from suspend in Xubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/1303736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
