[Bug 1183355] [NEW] lenovo freezes after resume

2013-05-23 Thread Moritz Winter
Public bug reported:

After I upgraded from 12.10 to 13.04 I'm getting in trouble after I wake up my
Lenovo T400 from standby. The first 5-30 sec. my mousepointer starts to freeze
up and then the whole system freezes. I found a walkaround that works most of
the time:
Change to a virtual console CTRL+ALT+F1 as long as the mouse is still moving
and type in some words and wait a few seconds. Then the system runs w/o further
freezes. If I'm not doing this the system must be resetted hard.

I have this problem for many ubuntu versions now and on at least 4

[Bug 1112303] [NEW] Writer: Insert-menu entries not working on recurring use

2013-02-01 Thread Moritz Winter
Public bug reported:

On recurring use the following entries of the insert menu of the writer
application don't work anymore:
- Insert-Footnote
- Insert-Indexes Tables-Bibliography Entry...
Maybe others?
This happens usually after the function was used once. On recurring use the
menu either does nothing or shows a checkmark (which makes no sense) and does
nothing. After that the only workaround is to restart LibreOffice.

This happens on my two computers running 32/64 bit Ubuntu 12.10

[Bug 996524] [NEW] Can't change update server b/c programs crash

2012-05-08 Thread Moritz Winter
Public bug reported:

The official german update-server is down atm and therefore no software
updates can't be downloaded. To my suprise I can't change the server
graphically because the software-center, the auto-update program and
synaptic crash without any error messages. So theres no convenient way
to change the options/server because I can't access the preferences-
dialog.

I couldn't append apport information because apport crashes (see

[Bug 917906] [NEW] Can't determine shared folders

2012-01-17 Thread Moritz Winter
Public bug reported:

If I restart my machine after I shared a folder the shared icon is
missing and the context-menu share-option is turned off as if the folder
isn't shared anymore. If I access the folder from another computer over
the network the folder is still shared. So I can't determine from within
the system which folders are shared and can't really unshare them.

Workaround: Look which folders are shared from another computer/vm,
share them again and deselect sharing without rebooting.

2012-01-17 Thread Moritz Winter
Hi, sorry if my description wasn't as clear as intendend, this is because I'm
using the german translation and have to guess how the context-menu-entries are
labeled.
What i meant was that if i right-click on the directory and choose the
sharing-options (Freigabeoptionen) the checkmark on Share this folder
(Diesen Ordner freigeben) isn't set anymore.

killall nautilus nautilus:

We can't do anything about bugs in the eclipse.org packager. You can
either use the Ubuntu package, which has this fixed, wait for
eclipse.org to release an official version with the fix, or pull the
patch out of eclipse's bug tracker and build your own eclipse package
 with it.
