[Bug 1950428] [NEW] Extra frozen / stuck mouse cursor after screen lock / sleep without fractional scaling

2021-11-10 Thread Mr.Gosh
Public bug reported:

After a screenlock the appears a second, fixed or frozen, non-moveable
mousecursor that vanishes after reboot.

[Bug 798414] Re: update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough free space

2015-05-10 Thread Mr.Gosh
One part og the Bug is that on luks encrypted installations the /boot
partition is way too small for more than 4 kernel versions...

luckily apt-get autoremove unsinstalls old kernels meanwhile...

affects me until today on my luks machines - so apt-get should warn
about missing space for these packages und unattended-upgrades package
should mail the admin about missing space BEFORE it tries to install
these packages..

It's a fresh installation. I didn't perform an update/upgrade.

I tested the latest upstream kernel 'linux-

[Bug 1384587] [NEW] USB Devices (Mice and Keyboards) noedt available anymore after X start

2014-10-23 Thread Mr.Gosh
Public bug reported:

Mostly after booting my USB devices doesn't work. But sometimes it works
without any error.

I can see the optical mice (Logitech RX250) blinks one time between
booting and after that the light of the mouse switches off and I cannot
use it anymore. In addition I can unlock my LUKS with the keyboard
(Logitech K120) and then it's the same. Keyboard and mouse doesn't work.

I'm using the Lenovo Flex 2-15 with the following hardware configuration:
Intel Core i5-4200U
Nvidia GeForce 840M 4 GB
Intel QS77 Express Chipsatz
8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM

I already blacklisted the ideapad_laptop module, but it doesn't solve
the problem.

[Bug 1378736] [NEW] Boot Hangs with cryptsetup not found after upgrade to kernel 3.13.0-36

2014-10-08 Thread Mr.Gosh
Public bug reported:

After an fresh install of ubuntu 14.04.1 on an luks encrypted root - everything
worked fine.
after the first reeboot i made an apt-get dist-upgrade and after the ext
reboot the system won accept my luks passphrase.

After further investigation we found an similar bug in ubuntu from 2013
- where in initrd was created with a missing cryptsetup - so i tried
the old kernel and it worked...

so it seems that in this kernel the cryptsetup is missing...

what to do?

[Bug 1225615] [NEW] file copy time is calculated wrong

2013-09-15 Thread Mr.Gosh
Public bug reported:

When I copy I file from my notebook to any other device (e.g. SMB share,
USB Stick, etc.) than the copy time is calculated by the reed speed of
the origin - and not by the write speed of the destination - what would
be the expected behaviour.

That is not a nautilus bug, because the same happens in terminel with
midnight commander - mc - ...

The whole file is cached in ram - but on an ssd that means - after 2-3
seconds nautilus and mc show the file as copied and nautilus than often
freezes - but in system statistics you can see him now writing to
destination. sometimes nautilus than wakes up and continue to work, and
sometimes it doesnt...

why is this calculated this way...?

Funny fact: If you replug the AC Adapter, the network gets connected.
After unplugging the AC it keeps connected. Unplugging und replugging
the network destroys the connection...

[Bug 1095971] Re: eth0 (e1000e): transmit queue 0 timed out

2013-02-27 Thread Mr.Gosh
Is this bug still present?
On my Thinkpad x220t my e1000e wired network doesn't recognize any connection
anymore.
I can see the led lightning up if a cable is connected, but the driver doesn't
recognize the connection. Even after an rmmod e1000e modprobe e1000e - this
doesn't work anymore...

Can this be affected to the problem above?
