Another vote here, fighting this sadness with some VERY sad wrapper
scripts. Netplan should never have been in any LTS if it can not support
some of these basic options, honestly.

Can we PLEASE get some kind of coherent update on this for bionic. Most
distros (debian unstable, arch) already incorporated this fix. Is this
fix coming? Is any part of it coming? This is issues is serious enough
that it needs addressing, please respond!
