[Bug 1505227] [NEW] Secondary monitor does not turn on using a KVM switch

2015-10-12 Thread Nagy Tamás
Public bug reported:

Using a StarTech.com switch (SV231DPDDUA), the secondary monitor does
not turn on.

Both DELL TFT-s are with displayport connected to the StarTech.com
switch.

The computers have 2 displayport outputs. 4 displayports go into the
switch to switch 2 monitors at once.

If computer boots up, it does not recognize the second monitor. The second
monitor is recognized under
windows, but it cannot be turned on: driver failure.

[Bug 1371994] [NEW] Acer Aspire One i386 cannot turn on from sleep mode with any button

2014-09-20 Thread Nagy Tamás
Public bug reported:

Acer Aspire One i386 cannot turn on from sleep mode with any button.

Kubuntu 14.10

1. I close the lid and it sleep immediately
2. I open the lid and it does not turn on. It is powered off.
The power button is blinking. If I push it once or I hold it it does not
turn on. Also Fn+F4 does nothing. Total silence.

I have to remove the battery every time - if it has slept - to activate
the laptop again.

Type of the Aspire One: A751h

Except this everything works and runs fast.

If xscan cannot find scanner devices, it is enough to suspend the laptop.
After waking up again xscan will find the scanner.

[Bug 1248140] Re: With Ubuntu 13.10 I cannot type to tor Browsers since a recent update that happened in a month

2013-11-09 Thread Nagy Tamás
I tried the newest 2.3.25-14 and a different installation of 64bit
Ubuntu 13.10.

Nothing changed. I think there is a new type of thing (probably event handler)
in Ubuntu 13.10,
because I reinstalled the oldest version and also did not work. But no idea.

to use it in scan mode.
  Otherwhere else nothing happens.

  With 13.04 it worked perfectly.

Now with 13.10 I have to print an empty page to switch between printing
  and scanning modes.

XSane simply does not recognize a scanner.
After printint a page, it recognizes it like before with 13.04

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue
for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

[Bug 29419] Re: Blurred and chipped Video image

2007-09-02 Thread Nagy Tamás
I have the same video card.

Under Feisty Fawn the problem is the same.

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: 3Dfx Interactive, Inc. Voodoo Banshee
(rev 03)

Blurred and choppy screen.
Almost usable.

With tdfx driver

But 1280x1024 works.
Somebody sent me an interlaced ModeLine. It worked once.
After the second restart the problem was the same.
