[Bug 661926] Re: Xorg freeze
This problem seems to be related to the GNOME desktop and the power management, because under XFCE this bug does not appear. -- Xorg freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661926 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 661926] [NEW] Xorg freeze
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Yesterday I installed Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Desktop x86 on my Netbook. (Medion Akoya E1312) Everything works pretty fine, except when I pull out the power-cable and then start the netbook, the graphical interface of GNOME just loads in parts or never. So I just see the pink background image. From time to time (from restart to restart) I also see one of the two panels, but I am not able to use them or click to provoke any action. When I then connect the power-cable again and restart - everything is working fine again... This is really annoying and it seems to be a bug related to any power management or xorg thing. Also I experienced, that I was not able to install Ubuntu, unless I connected the power-cable to the netbook while installation. Without the power-cable the installation broke and the gui freezed. [Bug 270403] Re: libc.mo missing in language-pack-de-base
Nice, that you were thinking of us, but I guess, this would have been more a task for the Standard German Team, if there is one.. Anyway, besides I am a German, and also did not found that file in my system. So I created one and already translated 23% of it, attached to this comment. The attached tar.gz-archive contains both - a .po and a .mo file. [Bug 481416] [NEW] Ubuntu One can not connect on second machine
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client I have successfully installed and running Ubuntu One on my first computer. Now I wanted to get access through my second computer, but the client simply wont connect. I also do NOT get the possibility to add a second machine through the Ubuntu One website! It seems that the Website thinks, that I am on my other machine or whatever. I have never seen the dialog to add a second machine! And there doesnt seem to be an exploit or something like a direct link to this possibility. The few settings within the clients panel icon dont give me any possibility to solve my problem here. I am just able to set an autostart and update option. [Bug 461087] Re: failed to load module-esound-protocol-unix
I upgraded from online source, before the problem occurred. Now I tried it with a live-cd and the sound worked fine! Not very elegant to rescue personal files and settings, format harddrive and perform a fresh ubuntu installation, but for me this seems to be the only possibility after having treid out nearly everything! So me for me, the bug is solved in a kind of way. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio I just upgrade to unstable Karmic Koala. Before this upgrade my sound worked fine, but now it doesnt.
