[Bug 1890924] Re: Location services work with location services off, 20.04
I upgraded my 20.04 with the proposed-updates, restarted, and I got an alert that I needed to accept location permissions upon hitting the lower left locate button on my app, initially. I open the privacy settings in location and my app is not listed?? However, location now works, at least every other time. I wonder if anyone else can run a similar test? I see no applications have asked for location access, in privacy settings. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1890924 Title: Location services work with location services off, 20.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/geoclue-2.0/+bug/1890924/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1888461] [NEW] After upgrade, Linux will not boot
Public bug reported: I have been running 18.04 upgraded on my laptop and today after a restart-to-upgrade... starting up with Ubuntu 4.15.0-112, the latest update, it blinks, shows Superblock last write time is in the future... messages in the top left of the screen, then blanks black screen and shows the error again. [Bug 1575000] Re: font glyph corruption on dialog box
Also affects 14.04 where I kept getting missing letters, or missing icons when using latest 4.4 kernel. It didn't happen earlier so I downgraded to 4.2-lts wily kernel. I still see this on Intel 14.04 machine with 4.4.0-64-generic #85~14.04.1-Ubuntu. It happens in fairly random way quite often after close and open of the laptop. Images may either not display: http://askubuntu.com/questions/850754 /what-happened-to-my-dash-icons or show up with garbling as in attached screenshot. It may or may not be only the outer fullscreen restore button, as it always is at the moment. Public bug reported: Alt-tab is not visible at all unless I don't have any windows over the middle of the screen. The top-left Ubuntu button shows applications and stuff, but when I click it, it actually clicks the window behind it!! Very very annoying, and this did not happen before upgrading 16.04. [Bug 1369651] Re: "libmtp error: Could not send object info" when copying content to root MTP folder
It's actually happening when you copy to non-root-directory, unless Samsung Android/Phone/Music/ is considered root folder. Keeps freezing or just does nothing - maybe it's caused by dashes or _ in the folder or file name? Going too slow or just crashing, when connected to Android 5.1.1 device. I still think this is a bug - ideally they should have set up a transitional "python-support" package requiring the new one as described here: https://wiki.debian.org/Renaming_a_Package As it is now, I guess packagers have to distribute a .deb for 16.04+ and a separate one for older systems? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577172 Title: xenial python-support doesn't install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-support/+bug/1577172/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1051442] Re: Rhythmbox doesn't subscribe when called with iptc url
What do you mean by report a wishlist? I'm on a 12.04 machine right now, and it all works: Choosing Rhythmbox when a podcast is open in Firefox (immediately opens Rhythmbox and subscribes the feed). Choosing Add to Podcast Manger in Tunesviewer immediately opens Rhythmbox and subscribes the feed. Running rhythmbox itpc://www.oneplace.com/ministries/let-my-people- think/subscribe/podcast.xml immediately opens Rhythmbox and subscribes the feed. All three of these methods fail in the latest 14.04, so this is a regression. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051442 Title: Rhythmbox doesn't subscribe when called with iptc url To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rhythmbox/+bug/1051442/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1051442] Re: Rhythmbox doesn't subscribe when called with iptc url
Any ETA on a fix for this? Will this be fixed before 14.10 is released? This also affects subscribing to a podcast from Firefox - IIRC you used to be able to view a podcast, select /usr/bin/rhythmbox and subscribe to a podcast, and it's no longer possible to do this. This is especially troubling since the gi.repository bindings are apparently also broken, as described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24100017 In other words, no way for other applications to subscribe a podcast, except ask user to go to podcasts, add, paste in a url, subscribe. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051442 Title: Rhythmbox doesn't subscribe when called with iptc url To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1051442/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1358595] [NEW] Unity and desktop effects are extremely slow, some windows don't show on Alt+Tab-ing.
Public bug reported: I noticed that operations like switching windows were taking an extremely long time, and opacity fade in is taking 10s to a minute or more. I quit Netbeans and Firefox, though they didn't seem to be loading the system down too badly. Still going slow. I also noticed none of the dropdowns from the Ubuntu status icons in upper right work. I open Firefox again, and it slowly fades in, and works, but alt-tab doesn't show it as available - though it is right on the (only) screen. It seems now any window that is called up takes a loong time to go from transparent to visible. About this time I also saw that Nemiver debugger icon jumped up and wiggled - like it was alerting about process needing to be debugged? I'm still seeing this problem although no high-cpu processes are happening. At the same time this started I also noticed that searching in the dash was breaking - update couldn't even find update manager. [Bug 1333546] [NEW] Firefox doesn't respond to keyboard/cursor
Public bug reported: Firefox window still doesn't respond, sometimes - clicking or using keyboard shortcuts doesn't help, though others were fine, doesn't seem like cpu overload. [Bug 1051442] Re: Rhythmbox doesn't subscribe when called with iptc url
This is actually still happening on the latest 14.04, it's really a problem. From the command line, running either rhythmbox http://javascriptjabber.com/podcast.rss; or rhythmbox itpc://http://javascriptjabber.com/podcast.rss; will not work at all, just open up Rhythmbox to podcasts, and not subscribe anything. There really should be a way to automate subscribing a podcast. ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: Expired = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051442 Title: Rhythmbox doesn't subscribe when called with iptc url To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1051442/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
