[Bug 1599874] Re: no rear sound creative sound blaster Z ssid: 1102:0023

2016-07-07 Thread Olcay Korkmaz
Hi,

as windows and freebsd did work with generic driver so I disabled ca0132
enabled pure generic module (no fancy patch_ca0132.c)
here is generic driver's alsa-info and details

pin configs detected correctly and same as windows/freebsd pinconfigs
but ca0132 detects wrong pin numbers

headphone(front) and rear jack sensation works with ubuntu-sound-
settings but no sound from both sides

Hello,
If you are still interested, I may have found the cause of the HDD enclosure
corrupting your drive.
http://code.metager.de/source/history/linux/stable/drivers/usb/storage/unusual_cypress.h
the patch submitted on 2010-10-19 causes problems with my enclosure, having the
same id as yours. After removing that patch, my drive works as expected.I've
already contacted the person who submitted the patch, and his bcdDevice number
is 1.60, could you please check yours, so we can retarget the patch only to
those actually affected.
Mine is the following:
$ lsusb -vd 14cd:6116
(...)
  idVendor 0x14cd Super Top
  idProduct 0x6116 M6116 SATA Bridge
  bcdDevice2.20

Thanks for your help,

[Bug 1050498] [NEW] need packaging libmtp 1.1.5

2012-09-13 Thread Olcay Korkmaz
Public bug reported:

Source : http://sourceforge.net/projects/libmtp/files/libmtp/1.1.5/

This is libmtp 1.1.5

A bug fix and improvements release.

Changes from 1.1.4 to 1.1.5:

- Soname libmtp.so.9.0.5 - binary compatible.

- Stop forcing altinterface 0! That bug has been around like
forever and libgphoto2 never did this. It screws up some
Samsung devices and is the prime reason for releasing this
update so soon after 1.1.4 as I know a lot of people out there
  have Samsung devices!

- Integrated Sajid Anwars hard long-term work on MTPZ. There
are no secret keys or certificates inside libmtp, if you need
these to talk to your MTPZ device (Zune models, Windows
Phones) you need to get a file of secrets from some other
  place, preferably Microsoft.

- Expose getthumbnail method and the Add Storage events as
needed for a GNOME VFS project by Philip Langdale.

- Rearrange and try to understand some SONY device modes
  again and again.

- A udev script fix from Alessio Treglia to avoid poking
  around on Canon EOS 3D.

- Devices, devices, devices...

** Affects: libmtp (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1039271] [NEW] need packaging libmtp 1.1.4

2012-08-20 Thread Olcay Korkmaz
Public bug reported:

 it's bugfix release

changelog and announcement from project's maillist

This is libmtp 1.1.4
https://sourceforge.net/projects/libmtp/files/libmtp/1.1.4/

A bug fix release.

Changes from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4:

- Soname libmtp.so.9.0.4 - binary compatible.

- Lots of revamp in the device database. This is churning like hell
with all the new Android devices. I don't know how much longer I
will be able to contain it :-( hopefully I will be able to start
  doing more of autodetection.

- Set most SonyEricsson and SONY devices to DEVICE_FLAG_NONE and
let the autodetection code handle them. This is now absolutely
unavoidable since SONY released a device which has two different
MTP stacks (Aricent vs Android) depending on firmware, but still
expose the same VID+PID. Please test with SonyEricsson and
SONY devices and see if this works satifactorily. We can not
(hopefully) detect the presence of the Aricent stack as well
  as Android.

- Fix libusb detection script error.

- Minor fixes in the example tools.

- Fix around VCARD v2 and v3 variants (yay, long standing bug!)

- Avoid probing Atmel JTAG adapers, that look like MTP devices...

- Fix around get_all_metadata_fast() regarding storage ID.

- Improve on UTF-8 detection.

Catalin Patulea helped out with some of the nice bug fixes!

Linus Walleij
