Oh, I understand.
I guess I'm just a little disappointed by the fact that there hasn't
been any official response to this.
Supposedly 30 different people and the so-called Ubuntu Security Team
have been notified of this bug. And not one single one of these people
has said boo about it.
Now I
Well, after dealing with my own bug in Seamonkey 1.1.12 for two months
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/seamonkey/+bug/290857
And starting to realize that there is a serious security problem with the
Seamonkey package in Intrepid's repositories, I upgraded to Seamonkey 1.1.14
about a
Did you go to Edit-Preferences-Advanced-Software Installation and
checkmark Allow web sites to install extensions and updates? You can
fine tune this option by allowing only certain sites to install plugins.
And which plugins are you trying to install (from which websites)?
Not sure if you know
Okay, I got tired of dealing with this bug and waiting for a fix, so about a
week ago, I upgraded to Seamonkey 1.1.14 using Ubuntuzilla.
http://ubuntuzilla.wiki.sourceforge.net/
And I haven't received a single error message since then, and that's
using the same profiles I created using Seamonkey
Hey Markor,
Yeah, unfortunately I've been sorta stuck with 1.1.12, since I haven't found a
definitive howto for upgrading Seamonkey.
I just stumbled on the website for Ubuntuzilla, which seems like it promises an
easy upgrade.
http://ubuntuzilla.wiki.sourceforge.net/
But I'm still a little
Anybody know where we stand on this?
I've been dealing with a really annoying bug in 1.1.12
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/seamonkey/+bug/290857
that I am hoping will be fixed with version 1.1.13.

Seamonkey should be updated to 1.1.13

You
Okay, just another update. I went for about a week without getting any
error messages on this particular computer, following the rebuild I
mentioned earlier.
But then I started getting them again, about a week ago.
And I have also been experiencing these same error messages on another
computer
I was just wondering if we should bump up the importance of this bug,
since it appears that the Secure Sockets Layer is involved.
Up until now, I have periodically been denied access to webpages
requiring SSL. But what happens if this glitch occurs after somebody has
already gained access to a
Just an update.
This problem I was having a few weeks back was more than likely related
to the fact that my hard drive was crapping out on me.
Last week, my BIOS started giving me a warning to back up my data ASAP,
as my primary hard drive was starting to throw up red flags that it was
operating

I'm running Seamonkey 1.1.12, installed from Intrepid's repositories.
And I have been experiencing some really unusual behavior.
In this first screenshot Seamonkey is essentially telling me that it is having

If this has been marked wontfix, does that mean that we need to file a
new bug report?
Because btnx will not work on Intrepid.

So if people want to configure extra buttons on a mouse, they are going to have
to create an fdi file and place it in their
Well, I guess it should be okay, just so long as things kinda halfway
work the way that people would expect them to work.
I personally have been waiting for Intrepid's official release to
install it, so I will wait and see how everything works then.
But the possibility of things being patched

Binary package hint: vlc
Not sure if I'm in the right place, but here goes...
I'm running VLC 0.9.4 on Hardy, installed from:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/c-korn/ubuntu hardy main
And I would like request that version 0.9.2 be listed in the
repositories for Intrepid,
the two issues you referenced in the forum seem to be the same issue
that has been fixed with the lastest upload:
https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/2136 aka LP: #282582
please correct me if I'm wrong.
