[Bug 1968491] Re: kinfocenter -> graphics -> wayland wayland-info is not found

2022-04-24 Thread Paul Chaffey
I have built wayland-info from source and can confirm it is just a
missing package in Kubuntu.

So in kinfocenter under Graphics -> wayland wayland-info is now found
and displays the correct information.

[Bug 1968491] [NEW] kinfocenter -> graphics -> wayland wayland-info is not found

2022-04-10 Thread Paul Chaffey
Public bug reported:

So in kinfocenter under Graphics -> wayland wayland-info is not found.
With a bit of hunting, this binary is in the wayland-utils package.

I guess the wayland-utils package needs adding to the repo.

Re: [Bug 1920130] Re: System icons missing in kubuntu 21.04

2021-05-13 Thread Paul Chaffey
In case anyone missed this above:

I have sorted this out by using the following from another post:

sudo service sddm stop
sudo apt remove libqt5quick5-gles
sudo apt install libqt5quick5
sudo service sddm start

For me, when removing libqt5quick5-gles, libqt5quick5 was automatically
installed, so line 3 wasn't needed. Not sure why it was installed in the
first place...

[Bug 1920130] Re: System icons missing in kubuntu 21.04

2021-03-22 Thread Paul Chaffey
This bug report may not be filed in the right place - somewhere like
Kubuntu - kde - qt

I would mark as solved also, but I don't see a button for this - perhaps
someone at Ubuntu can do it...

2021-03-19 Thread Paul Chaffey
Some updates:

All kde apps when starting report on the command line (Eg. when starting
kate):

Icon theme "Breeze" not found.

tried reinstalling breeze-icon-theme but its still the same. The package
is there, but kde cannot find it after the upgrade to 21.04 from 20.10.

[Bug 1920130] [NEW] System icons missing in kubuntu 21.04

2021-03-19 Thread Paul Chaffey
Public bug reported:

Hi, just testing Kubuntu 21.04 on a spare machine. The upgrade initially
was fine, but I then install kdenlive and krita which has messed up the
system icons and window decorations (corners of windows are showing
black squares).

I have been through all the normal checks and even created a new user,
but the bug still persists. The system Icons are broken in the system
and nothing to do with the user account.

[Bug 886449] Re: [USB-Audio - USB Camera-B4.04.27.1 (playstation eye), recording] Pulseaudio fails to detect card

2012-10-07 Thread Paul Chaffey
Hi All,

I can confirm the exact same behavior on my kde 12.10 test machine. The
device is seen in the system setting (the input level goes to zero when
you open it though) but the kmix audio has not seen this ps3 eye device.

Does anyone have an idea how to manually fix it ?

[Bug 663660] Re: KWin+Radeon+Latest Kernel AMD64 Constantly Crash

2010-10-25 Thread Paul Chaffey
Hi,

I have found the crash in the kdm.log file (under /var/logs) and all I
see is Segmentation fault, and no other hints.

I guess running kdm would be a bit hard (I am a Hw engineer and not so
bright with SW ;) )

Anyone want to take this up ?
