[Bug 402892] Re: Mouse cursor gets stuck in "drag and drop" mode

2017-10-18 Thread Paul Müller
Turns out disabling the touch screen with ``xinput --disable 12`` ("ELAN Touchscreen" listed as "id=12" in ``xinput``) solved the problem for me. In my case, this is either a malfunction of the touch screen or a system software problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a

2017-09-14 Thread Paul Müller
I have the same problem in Ubuntu 16.04.3, but only for certain applications (jabref and texmaker so far). The comment by @spoolboyy helped: I was using a USB mouse and clicking with the touchpad stopped the drag-and-drop mode. I am using a Thinkpad X1 Carbon laptop. -- You received this bug

[Bug 1599738] [NEW] Missing GPS on/off setting

2016-07-07 Thread Paul Müller
Public bug reported: This problem appeared after installing OTA-11 on my BQ Aquaris 4.5. Previously, I could activate and deactivate GPS in the Battery settings dialog. Now, I can only find Wi-Fi and Bluetooth there. I believe that shortly after installing the OTA-11, I could sometimes find the

[Bug 1582026] Re: Missing global setting for caller ID (CLIP/CLID/CNID/CND/CID)

2016-05-17 Thread Paul Müller
@Alfonso Sanchez-Beato Thank you! I was not aware of this functionality. Nevertheless, I still think that this functionality should be implemented in the phone settings somehow (for user convenience). Is "ofono" still the right place for this bug? -- You received this bug notification because

[Bug 1582026] [NEW] Missing global setting for caller ID (CLIP/CLID/CNID/CND/CID)

2016-05-15 Thread Paul Müller
Public bug reported: It is currently not possible to globally enable/disable the transmission of the caller ID [1]. My cellular network provider does not transmit my number by default. A workaround [2] is to prepend *31# before each dialed number. Phone: BQ Aquaris E4.5 Image: OTA 10.1 [1]

[Bug 1445630] Re: Can't connect to Wifi network secured with long PSK

A workaround is to copy and paste the password from a different app. I created a note with the password as a title and copied it from there. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1445630

[Bug 1568750] Re: With dual SIM, SIM choice is not retained for a SMS conversation

2016-04-29 Thread Paul Müller
Thank you, 6-ubuntuone-4, for the workaround/clarification and sorry for the confusion. I believe I started having this problem with OTA 10, but now I am unsure. It is a possibility that I previously followed your workaround every time I sent text messages. I agree that this bug here might not be

[Bug 1568750] Re: With dual SIM, SIM choice is not retained for a SMS conversation

Just found out this bug was duplicated. Having the same problem on EQ 4.5: The top of the messaging app allows to choose the sim-card. This worked previously in OTA 9 (I think also 9.1), but does not have an effect starting OTA10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member
