[Bug 1217196] Re: Keyboard shortcuts not working with GNOME 3.9.90

2014-04-06 Thread Paweł Szafer
I think that version of gnome-settings-deamon could be teorically
outdated, because of creating fork of gnome-control-center in Ubuntu
14.04 (more here https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-
desktop/2013-December/004360.html )

I also think, that you should create new report for the bug, since this
is related with version 3.9.90 and Ubuntu 13.10, so developers of ubuntu
could not notice this bug

[Bug 1253529] [NEW] Screen in editors get corrupted

2013-11-20 Thread Paweł Szafer
Public bug reported:

Hello,
Since Ubuntu 13.10 I've got problem with displaying text in editors such Geany
and Eclipse.

Attached screenshot shows how Eclipse look after opening.
To see regular window I need to dragdrop window by mouse, resize it and it get
rendered properly.

When typing text and inputting new line in Eclipse then text in text editor
section dissapears. Only way is to scroll down and up in editor by mouse and
text showing back.
Other get around is CTRL+A select all text and it is visible again.

In Geany, while scrolling, text is not showing at all (it looks like
nothing happened - old text is visible all time). After scrolling it
needs to select everything I see in window to show it.

I don't really know if this bug is related to Xorg or other package. I
think that Eclipse and Geany could using same engine to rendering text
and it is somehow buggy in this version of Ubuntu.

[Bug 1225985] Re: gnome-shell uses over 300% CPU most the time

2013-09-17 Thread Paweł Szafer
Hello,
I'm sure this bug is related to Chromium-browser.

When I logged in and using programs like nautilus, gnome takes about 60%
CPU, but when chromium is running, then gnome-shell takes 100% CPU and
even after closing chromium it doesn't come back to usage in the level
of 60% CPU

I don't know if this bug is cause by HW acceleration in chromium, gtk
theme problem or something else.

[Bug 1222718] Re: Tabs not displaying titles

2013-09-11 Thread Paweł Szafer
Hello
I've decided to reinstall Ubuntu, to Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 beta.
After that problem with tabs titles has gone.

But apparently after first start of Chromium after boot, there are no tabs
menu, just gtk menu with close, minimize, maximize.
I will report it in other bug, so different problems won't be mixed, ok?

[Bug 1224259] [NEW] gtk title bar over the chromium tabs

2013-09-11 Thread Paweł Szafer
Public bug reported:

Hello,

I've had problem with my chromium-browser, as reported in other bug.
I've decided to reinstall Ubuntu to Ubuntu Gnome 13.10.

I installed all my software and after that I tried install nvidia drivers.
Unfortunately, those drivers still not working for me, so uninstalled them and
then I noticed that from time to time, when I run chromium gtk title bar is
over the chromium bar, so I can't click anything.

Only solution partly is to click CTRL+N to open new window (not always
working with this bug) and after that everything works well.

PrtScr of this bug is attached.

[Bug 1222718] [NEW] Tabs not displaying titles

2013-09-09 Thread Paweł Szafer
Public bug reported:

Hello,

My problem is that Chrome/Chromium (have both installed) are not displaying
page titles rendering many pages.
Actually, because of bug of keybindings in Gnome 3.9 I can't create screenshot,
but with most pages I have favicon displayed and not any text like page title.

It doesn't matter if GPU rendering is enabled or disabled.

[Bug 1217196] Re: Ubuntu 13.10 keyboard shortcuts not working

2013-09-04 Thread Paweł Szafer
Hello,
Unfortunately mainline kernel does not fix this bug.
It looks like any shortcut with combined keys doesn't work.

That are keyboard shortcuts working:
- CTRL+ATL+F1/F2/F3/F4/F5/F6/F7/F8/F9/F10/F11/F12
- ALT + ` to switch between windows of the same application,
- ATL + TAB,
- left CTRL + ALT + TAB,
- alt + F1/F2/F3/F4/F5/F6/F7/F8,
- CTRL + F4/F5,
- CTRL+ALT+D,
- CTRL+C/V/X

So for me it seems there are 2 different bugs:
- special fn keys not working in my laptop,
- and shortcuts with three key combination not working (especially with one of
alphanumeric keys for example CTRL+ALT+T)

  Hello,

I'm using/testing Ubuntu 13.10 with newest kernel 3.11.0-4 from PPA with
Gnome 3.9.90.
  This started since kernel 3.10.

Shortcuts to run commands and custom commands not working in this
configuration (for example CTRL+ALT+T not launching gnome-terminal).

I have laptop Asus N56VZ and FN Keys also stopped working (brightness,
toggle wifi, brightness of keyboards, volume).

Since I cannot find suspend button in Gnome 3.9 I've started to use power
button to suspend my PC. It's not working anymore.
Only way to suspend is to type command 'sudo pm-suspend' in terminal.

[Bug 1217193] [NEW] Ubuntu 13.10 keyboard shortcuts

2013-08-26 Thread Paweł Szafer
Public bug reported:

Hello,

I'm using/testing Ubuntu 13.10 with newest kernel 3.11.0-4 from PPA with Gnome
3.9.90.

Only this one laptop has issue with connection.

After restart it could not connect to WiFi too to and it says SSID not

Maybe it is router issue?

It happens every time NM tries to connect,

after that I have to put in /etc/NetworkManager/system-
connections/connectionname

add line:
password=password
#otherwise NM would prompt me for password by it won't connect

after adding line I need to restart NM:
sudo service network-manager restart

What do you think about that? Maybe I should report it as another bug of
NM (it is stopping on other step of connecting)

I cannot use previous version of Ubuntu because it can't handle N56VZ
hardware very well.

I'll test upstream Kernel on Monday.
