I get this exactly as described. After suspend, I get all popup boxes including settings and right-click action popup appear and very quickly disappear. After minimising and restoring firefox, it works as normal.
Looking around, lots of people report similar problems, but this report most accurately describes the problem. I get this problem with all Firefox extensions disabled, so I do not think it's extension/add-on related Using Firefox 44.02 on Ubuntu 14.04 on IBM Thinkpad T400, fully patched as at this date, with Gnome Failback/Fallback as window manager.
