[Bug 1909022] Re: Ardour crashes when using the Calf Limiter LV2 plugin and tying to raise the Oversampling parameter to 4

2021-03-11 Thread Peter Mueller
Little tip to the workaround from Erich Eickmeyer
I found out the the same...
Ardour crashes when parameter "Oversampling" has the value "4"
Because of this i was unable to open my Ardour and Mixbus files anymore.

To save the work with enabling/disabling all plugins
open the affected .ardour file in a text-editor and search for "Calf Limiter".
under "active" change the value "1" to "0" and save and close.
Now you can open the file in Ardour/Mixbus again and change the parameter
"Oversampling" from 4 to to a value between 1 and 3.
After this you can enable the Calf Limiter plugin again.

You will do this on our own risk! you should make a backup before
manipulating the .ardour file.

[Bug 932193] Re: Segfault in compiz when unchecking Snap windows back to original size in the Grid options

2012-05-05 Thread peter mueller
The crash happens in either Unity or Gnome Fallback (with effects) with
the newest version of Ubuntu 12.04 100% of the time, when unchecking the
option as described in the description.

There seem to be multiple bug reports about this.

[Bug 981289] Re: Window list entries colored in white instead of dark (GNOME Classic / Ambiance theme)

2012-05-03 Thread peter mueller
@ Felix Moreno

Can you be more specific? Do you mean that the complete compiz effects
are not working anymore (just as the fallback without effects mode)?

[Bug 973366] Re: Minimising applications go to the wrong window list (with Compiz)

2012-04-20 Thread peter mueller
Hi Oli,

I have the exact same problem you experienced, using either Ubuntu 12.04
with gnome classic + effects or Xubuntu 12.04 using compiz instead of
the xfwm.

As you can see, I also did a bug report on it (I must have missed
yours): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/985651

It's good to know, I am not the only one. I will later try your proposed
workaround, because I could not come up with one.

I can confirm, that activating Keep previews of minimized windows in
CCSM @ Workarounds fixes this.

[Bug 985651] Re: [Multi Monitor] Window entry jumps from right panel to left panel when it's minimized and back when restored again

Activating Keep previews of minimized windows in CCSM @ Workarounds
fixes this. (Tested on Ubuntu 12.04. I have yet to test Xubuntu 12.04
with Compiz)

Re: [Bug 852406] Re: Phantom battery appears after resume from suspend

2011-10-12 Thread Peter Mueller
Hi Jeff,
I guess i only got this because i am subscribed to the bug report.

I have no clue how to answer the question :-( I don't even understand
completely what it means :-(
P

 I have tried a few mainline kernels from 3.0.6 to 3.1.0-999. I can't
get far enough to test for this bug.

I always get the following message:
[17.609844] intel ips :00:1f.6: failed to get i915 symbols, graphics
 turbo disabled

Is there a particular mainline kernel you would recommend?
