I started Linux 2.6.31-14 earlier this afternoon and shortly after I got a screen telling me there were important updates. I downloaded and installed them and am now running Linux 2.6.31-16, the default os in grub. So the problem with 31-15 is of no importance to me now. Problem solved? --
