I can confirm this error under Feisty. I reinstalled Edgy, and the problem doesn't show up any longer. I don't have the log files any more but the symptoms are the same: the notebook freezes, and after about 30 seconds it is normal again. The notebook is a Asus A6JM with Fujitsu 120GB HDD. -- at
