I hit this bug myself (amd64 here, too). The patch proposed by Daniel Marynicz does not seem correct to me, because ENABLE_X86_64 is not defined [1], so the guint64 part does not get compiled. The correct check is whether ARCH_X86_64 is defined. You can grep the mplayer's source and you will see
