[Bug 1890108] [NEW] alt-f2+URL does not open new browser window
Public bug reported: I upgraded from Bionic to Focal and also have a computer with Eoan. On Bionic and Eoan, if you hit alt-f2 and type a web URL in the little window, it brings up a new Konqueror window with the webpage. On Focal, if there's already a Falkon window open (and I can't set the default browser to Konqueror in System Settings), it opens the website as a new tab in the existing window, even if it's on another virtual desktop. If I hit alt-f2 and type "konqueror", instead of opening a new Konqueror window, it pulls an existing Konqueror window to the virtual desktop. Release: 20.04 plasma-workspace version: 4:5.18.5-0ubuntu0.1 What I expected to happen: Open a new browser window What happened instead: Open a new tab in an existing browser window ** Affects: plasma-workspace (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1890108 Title: alt-f2+URL does not open new browser window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-workspace/+bug/1890108/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1705434] Re: akonadi_control crashed with SIGABRT in __GI_raise()
I get Akonadi crashing several times a day on a new laptop running Artful. My previous laptop, running Xenial, did not do this. I'm not sure that it's crashing with the same signal, as I don't know how to start Akonadi with this process being debugged. I tried attaching the debugger to the process, but the process simply exited without gdb being able to get a stack trace. [Bug 1386005] Re: Password not accepted graphical boot for encrypted root system
I'm running Xerus. Routine upgrades upgraded the kernel from 4.4.0-45 to 4.4.0-47. The next time I booted (because plasmashell refused to start, a probably unrelated bug), the "kubuntu" splash screen was about twice as wide as normal. It showed the disk password prompt, but I couldn't get it to work. After I fiddled around with recovery, and still couldn't enter the disk password, I got the Xubuntu splash screen, I have no idea why. It appeared to be asking for the root password and the disk password at the same time. I ran memtest to see if there's a memory problem (there wasn't). Then I thought, maybe something's wrong with the kernel. I booted the previous kernel and successfully entered the disk password. sddm didn't show anything, but I got around that by stopping sddm and running lightdm instead. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1386005 Title: Password not accepted graphical boot for encrypted root system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1386005/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1573755] Re: Compose and dead keys stopped working with XIM after upgrade to 16.04
I upgraded from Trusty to Xenial. Before the upgrade, the compose key was working in all applications, except maybe Torchat (which I hadn't used for months before the upgrade). After the upgrade: *Konqueror works properly when I use the Dvorak layout and the compose key. If, however, I switch to Greek and attempt to type an accented iota, I get an accented c (ć) instead. (The accent is a dead key in the Greek layout.) *In Kate, Kwrite, and Kmail, it works only if the resulting character code is less than 256 (I can type ÿ, but not Ÿ, which I have to copy from Konqueror). *In Firefox, Torchat, and Konsole, it does not work at all. I hit compose and two keys that should make a character, but get nothing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1573755 Title: Compose and dead keys stopped working with XIM after upgrade to 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1573755/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
